Star Trek projects set after the show's finale. The USS Voyager spent seven years trapped in the Delta Quadrant, millions of light years away from home. Low on resources but high on Federation idealism, the crew simultaneously looked for a quicker way home while carrying out the Starfleet mission by exploring the new, uncharted region of space.

Voyager finally made it home in the series finale "Endgame," where Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) got an unintended assist from the Borg to get her people back to Earth. The series concluded with the ship arriving at Earth, and there was no direct follow-up chronicling what happened next for the Voyager crew. However, the modern crop of Star Trek shows has featured much of the ship's crew, in both lead and ing roles, giving fans a glimpse of what became of their Voyager heroes. Here's a rundown of every Star Trek: Voyager character who's returned to the franchise so far.

8 Seven Of Nine In Star Trek: Picard

Seven of Nine is Commander of the USS Titan in Picard season 3

Of all the Voyager alumni, Seven Of Nine (Jeri Ryan) has likely had the biggest impact. The former Borg drone was rescued by Janeway and crew during Voyager season 4 and would go on to become one of the show's most popular and fascinating characters. Assimilated as a child, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's gruff Changeling security officer Odo (Rene Auberjonois).

Seven re-emerged roughly two decades later in Star Trek: Picard season 1. Seven was denied entry to Starfleet, despite Janeway's protests, so she ed the Fenris Rangers, an independent organization attempting to maintain order along the Federation border. After ing iral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) on a pair of adventures, she was granted a Starfleet field commission and is the First Officer of the USS Titan-A as of Star Trek: Picard season 3.

7 iral Kathryn Janeway In Star Trek: Prodigy (& Star Trek: Nemesis)

Janeway Prodigy kids finale Starfleet

After getting her crew home at the conclusion of Voyager, Janeway was promptly promoted to Vice iral. She had a brief cameo in Star Trek: Prodigy.

A hologram version of Janeway served as a guide and mentor to the group of outcast kids who commandeered the experimental Starfleet vessel the USS Protostar. The flesh and blood iral Janeway would take command of the USS Dauntless in an effort to track down the Protostar and determine what happened to its crew, including its commanding officer Captain Chakotay (Robert Beltran). Janeway would eventually take the Protostar kids under her wing after Hologram Janeway sacrificed herself to save them.

6 Captain Chakotay In Star Trek: Prodigy

Prodigy Captain Chakotay Solum

A former Starfleet officer who defected to the Maquis, Chakotay became Janeway's First Officer when he and his crew became trapped in the Delta Quadrant with Voyager. Chakotay was largely defined by his Native American heritage and his relationship with Seska, his former romantic partner who was eventually revealed to be an undercover Cardassian operative. He would eventually enjoy a close relationship with Janeway, though it never quite got into romantic territory.

Upon returning to Earth, Chakotay was fully reinstated into Starfleet and eventually promoted to Captain. He was tasked with taking the USS Protostar back to the Delta Quadrant, but the ship was captured by the Diviner (John Noble) in a complicated time travel plot and its crew went missing. As of the end of Prodigy season 1, Chakotay is still uned for, but iral Janeway is determined to find him.

5 Lt. Tom Paris in Star Trek: Lower Decks

Tom Paris Lower Decks

Star Trek: Lower Decks season 2 episode "We'll Always Have Tom Paris." Now something of a morale officer and a minor celebrity, Paris came to tour the USS Cerritos, much to the delight of Ensign Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid), who was mildly obsessed with him.

4 Commander Tuvok in Star Trek: Lower Decks

Star-Trek-Lower-Decks-Tuvok

The Vulcan officer Commander Tuvok (Tim Russ) was one of Captain Janeway's most trusted confidantes throughout Voyager's rough ride back home from the Delta Quadrant. Not unlike the more famous Vulcan Spock (Leonard Nimoy), Tuvok presented as a cold, emotionless individual, but that icy demeanor hid a deep empathy and a big heart. Tuvok resurfaced - albeit silently - in the Lower Decks season 3 episode "Grounded," where he helped to clear Captain Carol Freeman's (Dawnn Lewis) name after the USS Cerritos commanding officer was accused of destroying Pakled Planet. Tuvok was able to determine the Pakleds destroyed their own planet in the hope the Federation would relocate them to a more resource-rich location.

3 The Kazon in Star Trek: Prodigy

A Kazon looking angry in Star Trek Prodigy

One of the very first antagonists Voyager encountered in the Delta Quadrant, the Kazon is a warrior race bent on destruction and conquest. Never a fan favorite, the Kazon were eventually phased out of the show by season 3, replaced by more menacing enemies like the Borg and Species 8472. The Kazon were still active in the Delta Quadrant years after encountering Voyager, though they seemed to have changed tactics a bit. Now seemingly driven by profit, the Kazon became slave traders in Prodigy, providing the Diviner with young laborers to mine for chimerium on Tars Lamora.

2 Lt. B'Elanna Torres in Star Trek: Prodigy

Roxann Dawson as B'elanna Torres in Star Trek: Voyager.

Lieutenant B'elanna Torres was a gifted engineer and former Maquis operative who was constantly fighting an internal battle over her split human and Klingon biology. Her inherent rage was slowly tempered over her time on Voyager, due in no small part to her romantic relationship with Tom Paris. B'elanna and Paris eventually married, and she gave birth to a child, Miral, just before they reached Earth. B'elanna has yet to make an actual post-Voyager appearance, but she was referenced in one of Janeway's logs in promotional material for Prodigy, noted as being the primary designer of the USS Dauntless.

1 Brenari Starfleet Officer in Star Trek: Prodigy

Kate Mulgrew as iral Janeway in Prodigy and the Brenari in Star Trek Voyager

iral Janeway was thrown in the Dauntless' brig after a body swap with Dal R'El (Brett Gray) led the crew to believe she had become mentally compromised. Knowing the threat that awaited Starfleet from the Diviner's weapon onboard the Protostar, Janeway pleaded with the brig's security guard to release her. To Janeway's surprise, the young female officer was a Brenari refugee that Voyager had rescued in the season 5 episode "Counterpoint." Owing Janeway a great debt and implicitly trusting her, the young officer released her. It's a fitting tribute to the clear-eyed idealism Janeway strived to spread to the Delta Quadrant and its inhabitants over seven years on Star Trek: Voyager.
