Star Wars 9 Set Photos Reveal Finn, Poe & Chewie On A Mission

New set photos from including Carrie Fisher through the use of old footage.

These updates came as production was gearing up to begin on Star Wars 9 and Abrams even Richard E. Grant debunking rumors he was playing Grand iral Thrawn. Now, some legitimate leaks are here to offer up a first look at several beloved characters.

The Sun revealed several photos from the set of Star Wars 9 that show the return of Finn, Poe, and Chewbacca. The dynamic duo of Poe and Finn are back together once again, while Chewie is also ing them for this adventure. The report from the set described Finn and Poe leaping into action, so a threat must be close by. If so, Poe and Finn won't back down from the challenge.

The reason for Finn, Poe, and Chewie's travels isn't clear, but they are not alone. A small group is with them that could be fellow Resistance or even people they are trying to help. If all of these people are part of the Resistance, then they are clearly traveling in small groups after the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which left them with much smaller numbers then when it began. There is some speculation that one of the other characters may be Naomi Ackie, but it is too difficult to tell based on the distant photos alone.

Ultimately there isn't too much that these photos can reveal, so their purpose will more so just be to generate further excitement for the sequel. Boyega and Isaac have great chemistry together on screen, and getting to see more of them together is always going to be a highlight. Neither have Poe's vintage jacket he ed on to Finn, so that physical representation of their bond is not present. As filming continues on Star Wars 9, Lucasfilm will surely do their best to keep further looks from surfacing, so enjoy the behind-the-scenes photos while you can.
