Is Naboo Returning In Andor Season 2?

Naboo in Star Wars.

Hever Castle’s exterior was used in “The Waterfall Sequence” from The Phantom Menace showing Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Jar Jar Binks escape their underwater ship just before it goes over a waterfall. After their escape the three walk into one of the buildings on Naboo, with the real-life location being at Hever Castle. It’s possible that Andor will show the return of Naboo, though it’s unclear what exactly will be shot there, and whether or not Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor will be visiting the planet.

It cannot be a coincidence that the exact spot used in the filming of The Phantom Menace is being used for Andor season 2. It likely was a deliberate choice so that some of the locations used would feel familiar to audiences when recreating Naboo’s iconic cityscape. It's perhaps important to note that Naboo has been given an important role in the early rebellion in Marvel Comics, with the introduction of a group called the Amidalans who sought to honor Pé by fighting against the Empire. This raises the possibility Naboo will play an important role in Andor, perhaps with senators Bail Organa and Mon Mothma visiting the world.
