Yoda pilots his own spaceship during an intense space battle in a leaked trailer for Star Wars Battlefront game in 2015.
Aside from the improved monetization scheme and new campaign feature, one of the key selling points of Battlefront II is its expansion to cover all eras from across the saga, bringing with it many beloved heroes. We've already had a taste of Yoda showing down against Darth Maul in the previous trailer - now we see him in a different sort of action.
The new trailer, which has leaked a week before the planned reveal at Gamescom 2017, teases the wise and powerful Force piloting his very own fighter during a space combat. You can check out the clip, which features many other cool moments, above.
Space battles are such a pivotal part of the Star Wars mythos and so it's great to see heroes worked into the fold. The Jedi Master was last seen piloting his own ship, a modified Jedi Starfighter while traveling on a mission to Dagobah, in the sixth season of planned spin-off anthology film eventually move forward.
Also featured in the trailer is Kylo Ren's TIE Striker and exploding Star Destroyers, hinting that the aerial combat will be pretty epic if nothing else.
The space fights for Battlefront II are being made by Criterion - the same developer who created the first Battlefront's side title, Rogue One VR mission, which rolled out last year. It is important to note, however, that the footage is not part of the title's gameplay, but instead only an in-engine video.
Star Wars: Battlefront II is set to roll out this coming November 17 on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC but those who buy the Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition will be able to access the game three days earlier. Further, an open beta test is already penciled-in to take place from October 6 to 9 on all platforms. Fans can expect more official details regarding the title next week as EA hosts a live demonstration of Starfighter Assault mode during Gamescom.
