Darth Vader are beloved characters in their own right, and have plenty of memes.
The droids, however, are just as important in the films, and produce plenty of comedic moments; in a way, they're kind of underrated, but meme creators have made up for that fact by giving them some spotlight.
Well, 'A' For Effort
Sometimes audiences just have to take their fellow peers' reaction at face value. They know the hard work and time they put into creating a meme, and they should be content with that, even if their meme doesn't become an overnight success. This meme is more on the corny side of humor because it's pretty much writing off the reaction of audiences and features a cute little animated R2-D2 to further affirm that notion. Corny meme humor is necessary every here and there.
Wait, Someone Likes All The Movies!?
Even the droids, for all their programming, can't compute such an idea. It's a rare find in the Star Wars fan base when someone who likes all the movies in the franchise comes up. Most of the time, such a concept is probably considered highly unlikely. It just goes to show that surprises are always afoot. Even funnier in this meme, the droids, once they've processed that someone likes all the movies, declares that they're "under arrest." It seems they're not programmed much in the way of a proper reaction.
Too Cool For Walking
Droids come in all kinds of forms. The ones that can roll appear to get around faster. No doubt other droids, and perhaps humans and other creatures in the Star Wars franchise are jealous of this particular droid's built-in mode of transportation.
The meme pokes fun at that jealousy; as the droid rolls by, its jealous onlookers are probably hating, but more likely wishing they could be rolling too.
Too Cool For Bond, James Bond
Bond. James Bond. Most audiences are aware of this suave line coming from the beloved and classic film character. This meme features the droids introducing themselves in a similar manner, instead using "Roger, Roger Roger" as their name. "Roger, Roger" is always funny, and meme creators have found innovative ways to include it in various memes, making it hilarious in more ways than one.
Roll Casually
The main characters of the Star Wars franchise, like Han Solo or Luke Skywalker, have plenty of comedic moments, especially Han. However, the underrated comedic stars are the droids in the franchise. They're funny in their own adorable ways, as is the case in this meme. "Roll casual" isn't bad advice, but he is quite noticeable as a droid, and there is a "no droids allowed" sign, so good luck with rolling casually.
Setting The Droids Loose
It's a hard concept to grasp, but there are some audiences out there that just don't care for Star Wars all that much. Now, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but Star Wars fans, especially die-hard ones, may take their dislike for their beloved franchise a little personally.
It's easy to imagine those fans setting loose an army of droids to get their fellow audiences to love the franchise as much as they do, or at least utilize the droids to convince them, lest they suffer bodily harm courtesy of the droids.
More Droids!
This meme is funny in two ways. For one, the tech is definitely a droid, albeit a different form than the stormtrooper is used to. Secondly, considering it's a different droid with different capabilities than say R2-D2, the stormtrooper would no doubt be fascinated by what they could do with it. A stormtrooper on Instagram? Playing Candy Crush? The forces of the power of technology and humor in this meme are limitless.
Totally Blaming The Sibling
Siblings are practically notorious for throwing each other under the bus, especially when they fear they'll get in trouble with their parents. Wasn't it a rite of age to engage in a lightsaber fight with siblings after they had watched Star Wars? Sometimes those fights can get a little out of hand, and this meme, featuring droids, is the perfect example of how that kind of situation usually goes down, making it hilarious beyond measure.
Another Great Actor Gone Downhill...
This meme is hilarious for obvious reasons. R2-D2 is a beloved character in the Star Wars franchise, and the creator of this meme found an ingenious method to depict what it would look like if R2-D2 followed the path of drugs and alcohol, losing his luster and shine.
The picture selected on the right has an uncanny resemblance to R2-D2 had he gone down a different path...
Roger, Roger
"Roger, Roger" is undoubtedly one of the best ed lines from the Star Wars franchise, given how often the expression is uttered by the droids. It's an expression akin to "it's all good"; it's the droids' way of affirming things are as they should be, or that they understand their orders. This meme takes that meaning and expresses it oppositely in the perfect way, utilizing a droid to emphasize the mood when everything certainly isn't "Roger, Roger."
