There may not be time to fully address the aftermath of Han Solo's death in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Given that the highly-anticipated sequel picks up just moments after its predecessor, some had hoped the fallout would be covered in some capacity, but the story is moving ahead at too fast a pace.
From Shmi to Pé, Yoda to Vader - and everyone from the death of Han Solo in The Force Awakens, fans might expect The Last Jedi to at least mention that the series just lost one of its biggest players.

Gathering for a pre-The Last Jedi press conference, cast like Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and Oscar Isaac gathered alongside Johnson to promote their movie. When discussing Han's farewell in The Force Awakens, Boyega said that everyone will be moving at break-neck speed in the next chapter:
"We're just keeping it moving, to be honest with you, man. It's true. The pressure's on, man. There's no time...In of Han, I'm sure we all feel sentimental - if someone were to sit Finn down, sit Rey down. But Rey's off training, she's got stuff to do. I've got a back injury, I've got stuff to do. I can't think about Han at the moment."
Isaac reiterated what Boyega had said, teasing the audience that things are probably going to get worse before they get better. The Force Awakens was hardly a jolly affair with singing Wookiees, but Isaac also tragically reminded us that Han was ultimately just a casualty of war:
"We're trying to survive. The First Order is right on top of us. It is like war - you just gotta keep moving to try and survive. So I think you feel the momentum of everything that happens in The Force Awakens just pushing and getting to a critical mass in this film."
Given that Han lost his life at the hands of his own son, it may have helped the story along if the likes of Rey, Chewie, and Finn went out on a mission to topple Kylo Ren and avenge their fallen friend. However, it plays a key role in Kylo Ren's Episode VIII arc.
With Ford having portrayed the smarmy space pirate since A New Hope back in 1977, he became part of the series trifecta of leading stars with Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher. It was certainly a shock to see the character lose his life in The Force Awakens, but at least he got one final adventure to him by. An though Ford's iteration of the character is finished, fans of the smuggler will get to see Alden Ehrenreich's version when Ron Howard's a three picture deal, Lucasfilm may not be ready to move on from Han just yet.
