A talented cosplayer recently recreated Cal Kestis’s gear from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s resident Nightsister Merrin, recently posted a picture of her rendition of Cal Kestis’s blue-and-tan jumpsuit ensemble at this weekend’s FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention. While RuthlessNightsister has posed in this cosplay before, this time they have a friend along for the ride: a cute plush BD-1 doll that was made with a pattern by fellow cosplayer and Twitter GHCosplay. Sure enough, the lovable droid is shown riding on his master’s shoulder, ready to assist with a stim or holo-map while exploring one of Jedi: Fallen Order’s perilous temples or Imperial bases.

Jedi: Fallen Order’s BD-1 Becomes A Cute Fan-Made Plushie

BD-1’s journey isn’t ending anytime soon, as the plucky little droid is confirmed to be returning in the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor alongside Cal. Jedi: Survivor director Stig Asmussen spoke about the future of Jedi: Survivor's Cal and BD-1 earlier this year, noting that his team takes their special bond into when crafting Jedi: Survivor’s gameplay. Some fans have even theorized that BD could gain some kind of attunement to the Force through his relationship with Cal in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, similar to how Star Wars: The Old Republic toyed with the idea through the Jedi helper droid T7-01.

Regardless of how his relationship with Cal Kestis evolves in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, BD-1 has certainly made a lasting impression in the Star Wars universe following his debut in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. This includes Cal cosplayers featuring the cute and dependable droid alongside his newfound companion, and the BD-1 plush that RuthlessNightsister included in their latest convention appearance captures his adorable design and charming personality in a soft, felt package.
