Greez Dritus might have been missing in Stars Wars Jedi: Survivor's promotional material, but now that he has shown up in the game's story trailer, something else has been lost: his upper-right arm. Greez often makes use of his four arms as the Latero pilot and cook of the Stinger Mantis crew. But despite his non-combat role and his attempts to avoid conflict, he shows up in Jedi: Survivor battle-worn, with scars and a missing limb.

Greez's appearance shows just how much has changed for Star Wars Jedi Survivor's characters since the events of Jedi: Fallen Order. The sequel takes place five years after its predecessor ended with the retrieval and destruction of Eno Cordova's Holocron. The Stinger Mantis crew have an ambiguous, foreboding future ahead of them after this point; the Empire will continue to hunt them down regardless of the Holocron's state, but with it destroyed, they appear to lack a shared purpose or end goal. This opens the potential for them to split up, stick together, or even lose limbs (as is the case for Greez) in storylines that Jedi Survivor will have to follow up on.

The story of Greez's arm has already been told, though. In the recently released novel Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars; which takes place during the period between Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor; Cal Kestis is knocked out by the Fifth Brother in a duel. Greez then attempts to bring Cal into the Stinger Mantis while Cere Junda attempts to bring the Fifth Brother to the Light Side of the Force. However, the Fifth Brother is eventually able to take a swipe at Cal, but Greez jumps between them and takes the blow. Greez loses his arm in this interaction but, in doing so, saves Cal.

Losing An Arm Is Not The End For Greez In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Though the Stinger Mantis' controls are designed to take advantage of Greez's four arms, the loss of one of them does not mean the Latero will have to retire as a pilot. As Star Wars Jedi: Survivor reminiscent of the prequels, in which Anakin received a prosthetic arm after dueling with Count Dooku. Indeed, the trailer shows the Stinger Mantis in action as well as several clips of Greez with Cal, suggesting he could be reing Cal in his next mission.

The trailer only shows Cal flying the Stinger Mantis, though, which could mean Greez will a smaller role in Stars Wars Jedi: Survivor. After all, in Stars Wars Jedi: Battle Scars, Greez goes into shock after losing his arm, becomes confused by the crew's goals with the Inquisitors, and gets into an argument with them about the whole ordeal; it would make sense for him to consider retiring from their adventures after that. But only time will tell what role Greez plays in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
