Fans of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor were treated to a fantastic new preview of the hotly anticipated game at the Game Awards 2022. However, one of Survivor's biggest plot points wasn’t revealed in that official reveal trailer. In fact, the reveal seen at the Game Awards was more focused on showing players what gameplay changes had been made and showing some of Cal Kestis' cool new abilities.

Taking place five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Jedi: Survivor will follow Cal as he continues to survive against the Empire. Little is known about the full plot, as Respawn has been keeping its cards close to its chest in regard to major plot points. Indeed much of the information so far has been gathered from unofficial sources, such as the leak of Jedi: Survivor's release date ahead of the announcement at the Game Awards.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Cere Junda

This time the information comes from the retail synopsis of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, posted on Reddit by JuggerClutch, and it describes what could be one of the game's biggest plot points. The game description reveals that Cal will be traveling to new and familiar planets in order to reunite the Stinger Mantis crew. This could mean that some, if not all, of Cal's companions from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order could be returning to aid him alongside new allies.

Cal’s friends, Nightsister Merrin and Greez Dritus, were noticeably absent from the teaser and official reveal trailers. This was immediately picked up on by fans who began speculating what could have happened to the pair in the five years since they were last seen, although the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order novel Battle Scars will bridge some of that gap. However, it now appears that a large part of Jedi: Survivor will be gathering the crew, revealing at the very least that they are alive and well.

While much of the story for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is tightly guarded, one would imagine there will be missions available for each crew member to re Cal on his new adventure. As seen in the trailer, Cere Junda can be found in a large archive, and she is not alone, as another robed figure is next to her as she speaks to Cal. This shows clearly that Cere has her own life and priorities by the time of Jedi: Survivor.

Greez and Merrin - the latter a formidable Star Wars Nightsister - may have also moved on, so when Cal sees them again, it is unlikely they will simply drop everything to aid him. Perhaps other more personal conflicts will have arisen, and Cal will have to help them resolve these matters before they are able to re his crew. It could even be through one of these crew missions that Cal finds the mysterious figure in the bacta tank, as the young Jedi searches for more allies. Whatever else happens in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, there’s no doubt that many will be happy the crew is to be reunited.
