Cal Kestis returns in another adventure in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that includes the introduction of Imperial Senator Sejan. The vast universe of Star Wars results in plenty of connections between characters that can be subtle or overt. However, it can take some digging to find the connections between certain characters, such as Senator Daho Sejan and the Grand Inquisitor.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launched with performance issues, but players who aren't playing on PC have had an easier time continuing Cal's fight against the Galactic Empire. Finding Senator Sejan and getting information stored on his yacht is an early task for Cal and his crew, but Sejan doesn't play a large role in the game overall. The Grand Inquisitor, on the other hand, doesn't make an appearance in the game, but he does have a small connection to Sejan.

Senator Sejan & The Grand Inquisitor Are Both Pau'an

Aside from both working for the Galactic Empire, the connection between Senator Sejan and the Grand Inquisitor lies in their shared home world of Utapau. Beyond those two elements, there isn't much overlap between these two characters. They also don't appear in any Star Wars media together, but it's possible that they could've crossed paths during their lives since they were both part of the Galactic Empire and could've been on Utapau at the same time. However, there's no evidence to back up that they've interacted.

The Grand Inquisitor Was Almost In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Since the Grand Inquisitor was initially planned to be in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the game's art book shows concept art for him. However, he ultimately didn't make it into the game's final cut as he was replaced by Darth Vader. Instead, the Grand Inquisitor receives a small mention from the Ninth Sister in the cutscene before her boss fight in Fallen Order. Of all the characters in Fallen Order and Survivor, the Grand Inquisitor likely has the greatest connection to the Ninth Sister since she's an Inquisitor, and he trained her to become a Jedi Hunter.

In the world of Star Wars, coming from the same planet can be enough to connect characters, and this is the case with Senator Sejan and the Grand Inquisitor. The diversity of characters and the ways they're connected create a rich and expansive universe, no matter how small the connections might be. However, players might be more concerned about returning Star Wars characters from the first game and their overall battle with the Galactic Empire in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
