In 2014, Kylo Ren's crackling crossguard lightsaber. Now, the Skywalker family's not-quite-a-Sith has done it again, quietly introducing the franchise's coolest new weapon, fashioned out of one of its most iconic predators.
Kylo Ren Is Wielding Twin Krayt Dragon Daggers
After Killing the Tatooine Beast, Ben Solo Weaponizes Its Remains
In Star Wars: Legacy of Vader #3 - by Charles Soule, Luke Ross, Nolan Woodard and Joe Caramagna - Kylo Ren is imprisoned by Gardulla the Hutt, tortured with visions of a disdainful Darth Vader. Kylo uses the Force to escape but is left wandering the dunes of Tatooine, even coming across a deadly Krayt Dragon. Not only does Kylo Ren slay the beast, but he turns its hide into a protective poncho and its teeth into dual daggers that he uses to fight his way across the desert.
Taking place between The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker, Legacy of Vader follows Kylo Ren's attempts to sever the final links to his past, recreating Darth Vader's rise to power through the Dark Side. Kylo Ren is accompanied by Vader's old attendant Vaneé, who is guiding him through the major locations and events of Vader's life. It's a journey that will make Kylo Ren stronger than ever before, but one in which his life is constantly on the line.

Star Wars: 10 Best Darth Vader Stories in Comic History, Ranked
Darth Vader has no shortage of incredible stories in Star Wars' comic book history, but some are better than others. Here are his 10 best, ranked!
10 Years Later, Kylo Ren Still Has Star Wars' Most Badass Weapons
The Crossguard Lightsaber Was Just the Beginning
Kylo Ren's new daggers are the ultimate symbol of his journey, showing how he is attempting to conquer Tatooine. With curved hilts reminiscent of Count Dooku's lightsaber, each of the blades are teeth claimed from the Krayt Dragon that tried to make Kylo Ren its prey. Ren is shown leaping through the air, ready to bring the blades down, showing how he adapted to (and overcame) Tatooine's deadly challenges.
While Krayt Dragons have long been part of Star Wars lore, their fame increased thanks to The Mandalorian season 2, when Din Djarin went up against the legendary beast. The deadliest predators on Tatooine, Krayt Dragons are towering killers who spray flesh-melting acid and produce valuable pearls. As Supreme Leader of the First Order, Kylo Ren doesn't have much use for the more valuable spoils Krayt Dragons produce, but he's more than happy to take the raw materials of their bodies to become a desert warrior.
Kylo Ren's journey is all about suring Darth Vader, and he started off underestimating the dangers that Tatooine offers. But after being tortured by a Hutt and slaying a Krayt Dragon, Kylo Ren finally has some respect for his grandfather's home. However you feel about Leia and Han's son, the character has a history of introducing truly formidable new weapons to Star Wars lore - Kylo Ren's Krayt Dragon daggers prove that reputation is still alive and well.

The son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, Ben was manipulated by Palpatine through the Force for most of his life, influenced toward the dark side of the Force. A misstep by Luke Skywalker ultimately left Ben feeling he had no choice but to embrace the dark side, and he became Kylo Ren, a key figure in the First Order. Kylo Ren's heart remained deeply divided, however, even after he ascended to become Supreme Leader of the First Order. He was ultimately redeemed by Rey, with whom he shared a remarkable Force bond, and by the love of his parents.
