Though there is some additional Star Wars content available to stream beyond the films. Netflix subscribers might have a limited viewing window with The Last Jedi, however. Disney owns the franchise, and they're still planning on launching their own streaming service sometime next year. Though the service doesn't yet have a price point, or even a name, it has begun to restructure itself in preparation. It will also remain consistent with the overall Disney brand. This means nothing R-rated will be in their library when the service becomes available. Anything Disney produces that isn't kid-friendly will land on Hulu. The handful of Netflix shows that take place within the MCU, which Disney also owns the rights to, will be there for the foreseeable future.
Given that every Star Wars movie has a PG or PG-13 rating, it's a safe bet that Disney will want them to lure in new subscribers. Beyond the movies, Disney's streaming service will also be home to two new Star Wars series currently in development. These include Star Wars: Resistance and Jon Favreau's untitled Star Wars series. Both projects will take place after the events in Return of the Jedi. Until this all comes to , fans will be able to watch that epic throne room battle over and over (and over) again from the comfort of their living rooms.
