In the new Luke Skywalker's Jedi Temple has largely remained mysterious, only appearing in a few places – and in confusing ways. Because of the variety of mediums the temple has been depicted in, the temple's grounds have never been firmly or consistently depicted. In a recent Star Wars comic, however, one major discrepancy surrounding the important location has been fixed.
During the Ossus. It was seen briefly in the sequel trilogy, during flashbacks in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but not much more than that until The Book of Boba Fett. In that series, audiences got their first meaningful look at Ossus in live-action, but this is where the continuity issues begin.
Star Wars Has Shown Different Versions Of Luke's Jedi Temple
Does Ossus Have Mountains Or Not?
In The Last Jedi, Luke's temple appears in a clearing, surrounded by reeds, with a large, empty sky behind it. This is consistent with other depictions, mainly Charles Soule and Will Sliney's work in the Star Wars and Rise of Kylo Ren comic series. The Book of Boba Fett, meanwhile, depicts Ossus as covered in lush, green mountains, mainly rising above the hut Luke builds in that series.

This contradicts the wide open plains seen in every comic depiction since. This has caused fans to seriously wonder if the location in The Book of Boba Fett is the same as Luke's main temple. See You Around, Kid cleared up some of the issues surrounding Luke's Temple in The Book of Boba Fett andThe Rise of Kylo Ren, but didn't completely reconcile them with depictions in The Last Jedi.
The Latest Visit To Ossus Has Fixed The Different Versions
A Combination Of Bamboo & Plains
In Star Wars #50 by Charles Soule and Madibek Musabekov, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker meets with his apprentice Ben Solo. He tells him a story about the days of the Rebel Alliance, sensing that Ben is nearing the end of his training and might need the wisdom. During this discussion, they walk from the main temple grounds, down into a bamboo forest, leading to a tree on a mountain top.
Luke's Temple & Hut Are In Distant Locations Within Walking Distance
They descend past a perfectly drawn Jedi Temple, matching The Last Jedi and The Rise of Kylo Ren, and into a bamboo forest, perfectly matching The Book of Boba Fett. At the mountain top, we see that in one direction, there are many more trees and mountains, whereas in the other, towards the temple, there are plains. This single story's visuals tie together every canon depiction of Luke's temple, making sense of them all and clearing up a longstanding Star Wars mystery surrounding Luke's Ossus Jedi Temple.
