Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation #3
A new scene from The Rise of Skywalker has confirmed that John Boyega's Finn was indeed Force-sensitive. Thanks to a new adaptation of Episode IX, a scene between Finn and Jannah has been extended in a pretty exciting way. As such, this new sequence essentially confirms the unsaid words Finn wanted to tell Rey when they were on the planet Pasaana.
It has been theorized for some time now that Finn was secretly Force-sensitive. This was teased at the beginning of The Rise of Skywalker but ultimately was never followed up on by the movie's end, much to the frustration of Finn fans (and Finn actor John Boyega himself). However, Star Wars has finally gone back and confirmed Finn's Force-sensitivity, which could lead to some exciting developments in the future of the Star Wars franchise.
Rise of Skywalker Implied Finn Might Have Been Force-Sensitive
But It Was Never Confirmed...
During the Resistance's mission to Paasana at the beginning of The Rise of Skywalker, the heroes found themselves sinking through the sand to an underground cave system below. Not knowing what was going to happen, next Finn tried telling Rey something he'd "never told her" before. This led many to theorize that Finn was going to to tell Rey that he too could use the Force, especially combined with Finn seemingly able to sense Rey's ing before she's revived by Ben Solo at the movie's end, or when he was able to pinpoint the specific Star Destroyer that needed to be targeted during the Battle of Exegol.

John Boyega's Finn Is In Danger Of Becoming Star Wars' Biggest Missed Opportunity
John Boyega’s Finn could become the biggest missed opportunity in Star Wars if the franchise chooses to take a specific direction with his character.
Eventually, both director J.J Abrams and Boyega would later confirm that Finn was indeed going to tell Rey that he could feel the Force, though for some reason Lucasfilm chose to never follow up on the scene by Rise of Skywalker's end. This only served to fuel more fan frustrations about Finn, whom many felt was largely sidelined far too many times throughout the sequel trilogy as a whole. However, it seems Lucasfilm may be trying to somewhat make up for that by offering an extended scene in its newest graphic novel adaptation by Jody Ho, Will Sliney, and Guru-eFX.
Now, Rise of Skywalker's New Adaptation Has Officially Confirmed Finn's Force-Sensitivity
What This Could Mean For Star Wars' Future
In Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation #3, Finn's conversation with Jannah on Kef Bir is extended beyond what's seen in the movie. Confirming to Jannah that the Force is real, Finn continues on to share that he too has been sensing and knowing things before they happen, just like a Force-sensitive Jedi would. However, Finn also says that he hasn't yet been able to figure out how to tell Rey about it before the duo are interrupted.
One can imagine Finn probably ends up telling Rey about his emerging Force abilities following Rise of Skywalker's end. With that in mind, this more concrete confirmation could have some exciting implications for Star Wars movies in the future, as they are a couple in development which will be set in the sequel trilogy's aftermath. With any luck, perhaps Lucasfilm is intending to give John Boyega's Finn some much-needed redemption, making him the Jedi Knight fans always wanted him to be.
