Star Wars' worst retcons, often these changes address issues in the franchise in ingenious ways.
In fact, some of the Star Wars timeline, though. I believe retcons would be the perfect way to address these 10 Star Wars plotlines in particular.
The Creation Of Anakin Skywalker Should Be Depicted On Screen
Audiences Have Long Wondered If Palpatine 'Made' Anakin Skywalker
Since Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Anakin Skywalker's origins in Star Wars have been of great interest. The Phantom Menace revealed that Anakin was the Chosen One, which proved to be exactly as messianic as it sounded. That is, Shmi Skywalker told Qui-Gon Jinn that Anakin Skywalker had no father, suggesting that he had been immaculately conceived. This has led to a host of theories about Anakin's creation, ranging from Palpatine manipulating midi-chlorians inside Shmi to the Force itself creating Anakin to counteract the rise of the Sith.
Star Wars has been somewhat inconsistent on this matter. George Lucas has long held that Anakin was created by the Force itself, although there have been many nods to the popular fan theory that Palpatine created Anakin, most notably in the canon Star Wars comic book Darth Vader #25 (2018). Within that comic, Palpatine is seemingly shown creating Anakin, but it could just as easily be interpreted as something Anakin fears to be true. A retcon confirming exactly how Anakin was created would put these questions to rest and would offer brand-new insight into the beloved character.

Star Wars: Anakin Skywalker's 'Father' Finally Revealed
The mystery of Anakin Skywalker's father has finally been solved, with Star Wars seemingly confirming a major fan theory. SPOILERS ahead.
Pé's Worst Attack Of The Clones Moment Should Be Explained
Star Wars Must Provide A Better Explanation For This Terrible Moment
Pé Amidala is an incredible Star Wars character, yet there is one moment from the prequel trilogy that undermines nearly all the brilliant things she has done. After serving bravely as a 14-year-old Queen of Naboo during the Trade Federation's attack on the planet, Pé became a senator, standing up for peace and justice in the galaxy. Bewilderingly, though, she seems to throw all of her values aside in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones when Anakin confesses to killing the Tusken Raider men, women, and children.
Rather than responding with horror or outrage, Pé essentially tells Anakin that his anger is only natural. This confusing and disappointing moment must be explained in some way in Star Wars. Her reaction would have been egregious coming from any character, but for Pé to have such a response was unthinkable (even if she had already fallen for Anakin). It's difficult to imagine how Star Wars could make this right, but the franchise has made much more confounding plot points make sense.

Star Wars Should Explain Count Dooku's True Intentions With Obi-Wan
Count Dooku Revealed So Much Of Palpatine's Plan To Obi-Wan
Yet another puzzling Attack of the Clones moment, when Obi-Wan Kenobi was captured by Count Dooku on Geonosis, Dooku revealed a shocking number of details about Palpatine's plan to take power. Seemingly, Count Dooku tried to recruit Obi-Wan as his Sith apprentice (inevitably meaning he would overthrow Palpatine). However, even were that the case, this was a confusing risk for Dooku to take.
It's clear that Dooku had an odd sort of affection for Obi-Wan, as he had been Qui-Gon Jinn's Jedi Master and Obi-Wan was his Padawan, but there was little reason for Dooku to believe Obi-Wan would turn. The question remains: why would Dooku gamble with the future of the Sith just to try and get Obi-Wan to him? A retcon could provide a clear answer, perhaps revealing that Palpatine was aware of this conversation and this was all part of his plan.
Korkie Kryze's Paternity Should Be Revealed
Many Are Convinced That Korkie Is Really Obi-Wan's Son
One of the most popular Star Wars fan theories is a rather surprising one. In The Clone Wars, Satine Kryze, the Duchess of Mandalore at the time, was revealed to be Obi-Wan's secret love interest. Even more curiously, Satine had a 'nephew,' Korkie, who bore a striking resemblance to Obi-Wan himself. Although many have disliked the notion that Obi-Wan could have had a child (either that he did or didn't know about), his feelings for Satine confirm that there was much more to Obi-Wan than it seemed.
Korkie's origins are also rather confusing, as Satine seems to have had just one sibling, Bo-Katan Kryze, who doesn't have any children. It remains unclear who Korkie's parents could be and what relation they could possibly have to Satine. This has led to even greater speculation that Korkie may be Satine's son with Obi-Wan rather than her nephew. Given the rampant rumors and theories, Star Wars should finally give fans some sort of answer through a retcon.
Star Wars Should Confirm That Palpatine Drained The Life From Pé
Pé Deserves A Better Death Than Simply Losing Her Will To Live
In addition to Pé's disappointing (to say the least) response to Anakin's confession that he slaughtered the Tusken Raiders, one of the worst plot points for Pé in all of Star Wars was the way in which she died. At the end of Revenge of the Sith, Anakin and Pé have one final encounter on Mustafar, during which Anakin devastatingly turned on Pé, choking her. While that wasn't her direct cause of death, it no doubt contributed to her feelings of hopelessness, presumably leading her to 'lose the will to live,' as the medical droid suggests.
Discussions about Pé's death have long included the idea that she died of a broken heart. While Star Wars has never confirmed that, the assertion that she lost the will to live isn't much better. Pé was incredibly driven, courageous, and strong. She had also just given birth to twins, which would have given her plenty of reason to live. Ideally, Star Wars would confirm the theory that Palpatine drained Pé's life to save Anakin in a retcon, which would give her a death more in keeping with her character.

19 Years After Revenge Of The Sith, I'm Still Convinced Pe's Death Was A Big Mistake
While Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith is an excellent movie, the manner of Pe's death was nevertheless a major mistake in Star Wars.
Omega Should Be Given A More Significant History
Star Wars Could Confirm A Shocking Lineage
Omega was introduced in Star Wars: The Bad Batch as an 'unaltered' female clone of Jango Fett, meaning that she had no rapid aging or other modifications that the clone troopers of the clone army had. This already made her quite unique among Star Wars' characters, but she proved to be even more interesting in The Bad Batch season 3 when she was taken captive by the Empire. While she was held captive, the Empire discovered that they could successfully manipulate Omega's M-count (or midi-chlorian count), suggesting Omega could be Force sensitive.
While this would have interesting implications for Omega's future in Star Wars, it may have already introduced a massive update to one Jedi lineage in particular. Specifically, Rey Skywalker's father, Dathan, was a 'failed' Palpatine clone, presumably created via the very efforts shown in The Bad Batch season 3. If that is the case, Rey Skywalker may in fact be a descendant of Omega, as she was the only clone whose M-count was successfully manipulated. This would be an incredible retcon of Rey's origins—arguably a much better one than the Palpatine twist.
Rey Skywalker may in fact be a descendant of Omega, as she was the only clone whose M-count was successfully manipulated.
Ahsoka Season 2 Should Show Ahsoka ing The Mortis Gods
Ahsoka's Awareness Of Morai Suggests Her Memories Were Restored
The Clone Wars introduced the Mortis Gods, mysterious beings who seemed to represent the Force itself. The Father represented balance in the Force, while the Daughter embodied the light side and the Son embodied the dark. Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka had an extensive Mortis Gods arc in The Clone Wars, during which Ahsoka died and was only resurrected because the Daughter had Anakin transfer the rest of her life force into Ahsoka.
Unfortunately, Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan's memories were all wiped at the end of this arc, because Anakin had learned what would become of him. Star Wars has dropped several hints that Ahsoka may somehow have recovered these memories, though. Most notably, in Star Wars Rebels, Ahsoka says that Morai, the Daughter's convor, saved her life, seemingly referencing her resurrection on Mortis. This perfectly sets up a major Star Wars retcon involving the Mortis Gods, and Ahsoka season 2 would be the perfect time to confirm it.

Ahsoka Season 2: Story, Updates, Everything We Know
Ahsoka season 2 is confirmed and has received exciting new story and filming updates. Here's everything we know about the Star Wars project.
Star Wars' New Trilogy Should Explain Why No One Helped The Resistance In The Last Jedi
The Resistance Was Alone In The Last Jedi... But A Fleet Arrived In The Rise Of Skywalker
The Star Wars sequel trilogy had a number of confusing plotlines, although one of the biggest was the massive change that happened between Star Wars: The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker in of for the Resistance. In The Last Jedi, the Resistance was trapped on Crait, facing their demise at the hands of the First Order. Leia herself called upon their allies to help them, but in the end, it was only with the combined efforts of Luke Skywalker and Rey that the Resistance lived to fight another day.
In The Rise of Skywalker, however, an entire fleet showed up on Exegol to aid the Resistance. What is oddest about this is that, presumably, the message sent out in The Last Jedi was just as dire. Star Wars must explain why there was such a massive difference in the response from the allies of the Resistance between the two movies and what exactly prevented the allies from coming to help the Resistance in The Last Jedi.
Rey's Mother Should Be Confirmed To Have Been Force Sensitive
There Have Been Hints That Miramir Was Also Force Sensitive
Rey's parents were a major focus throughout the sequel trilogy, in part because their identities remained unclear until The Rise of Skywalker. The final installment in the sequel trilogy and several canon Star Wars books that have been released since have provided quite a bit more insight into who Rey's parents were, though. As mentioned, Rey's father, Dathan, was a so-called failed Palpatine clone. Her mother, Miramir, is a bit less defined; however, there have been hints that Miramir may have been Force-sensitive, specifically because of her abilities as a pilot.

Everything We Know About Rey's Parents In Star Wars (& Why Rey Isn't Really Palpatine's Granddaughter)
The story of Rey's parents in Star Wars is key to understanding Rey's character, such as the reason why she's not truly Palpatine's granddaughter.
With Rey's story set to continue either in her Star Wars movie or in Simon Kinberg's Star Wars trilogy (or both), it's completely possible that Miramir's story will be explored in greater detail. This would be the perfect opportunity to introduce her Force sensitivity, which would add yet another layer to Rey's origins. After all, the connections on her mother's side are almost entirely unexplored.
Star Wars Should Reveal That Ben Solo Saw Luke And Leia As He Died
Ben's Death Is So Much Sadder Because His Family Seemingly Abandoned Him
Ben Solo's death in The Rise of Skywalker was disappointing for a number of reasons, including that it represented the end of the Skywalker bloodline. One of the saddest aspects of Ben's death was the absence of his family as Force ghosts, however. Neither Luke nor Leia appeared for Ben as he died, yet they both showed up for Rey on Tatooine to watch her bury Leia and Anakin's lightsabers. This was a massive insult to Ben, and it failed to acknowledge his redemption—something that Star Wars has long been known for.
A retcon could fix this relatively easily in a way that would still be satisfying. Although it might require some creativity (which was already employed throughout The Rise of Skywalker to bring Leia Organa back to the screen), Star Wars could confirm that Ben was ultimately greeted by Luke and Leia after he died, for example, which would be understandable given how quickly he died. It remains to be seen whether Star Wars will ever circle back on these various plot points, but I would be delighted to see these 10 retcons in the future.
