The star of Shawn Levy's Levy's Star Wars movie, but she ultimately ed on the role that was offered to her.
At a Star Wars Celebration , where ScreenRant's Molly Brizzell is in attendance, it has been confirmed that Gosling will star in Levy's movie, which will have the title Star Wars: Starfighter. The film will be released on May 28, 2027, the 50th anniversary year of when the original Star Wars movie was first released. Starfighter is confirmed to be set five years after The Rise of Skywalker and will be a standalone story. Gosling appeared on stage alongside Levy, where he expressed his enthusiasm for the movie, and teased his brand-new character. Check out Gosling's comments below:
It’s probably framed my idea of what a movie even was. This script is just so good. It has such a great story with great and original characters. It’s filled with so much heart and adventure.
