Neel, the loyal best friend of Wim who's played by Robert Timothy Smith, is an absolutely adorable addition to Skeleton Crew and the greater Star Wars galaxy. From his innocence towards the premise of adventure to his fierce loyalty to his friends, practically every Neel moment has viewers absolutely squealing with delight. Smith does an excellent job of making Neel a character that audiences quickly care for, especially as he displays such tender care for those he loves - particularly towards his younger siblings. He just wants to do his best all the time, which makes him even cuter.

A character like Neel is exactly what Star Wars needs right now for the entire fandom to rally behind. Similarly to Grogu with his "Baby Yoda" debut in The Mandalorian, Neel is a character who serves a lighthearted purpose, and he has the potential to match Grogu's energy in of memes and the cute factor as well. Given the fact that Grogu's initial adorable charm has started to wear off over time, Neel couldn't be entering at a better time, either. "Neel Nation," as the fans have called it, is ready to rise!
