A brand-new trailer for cast of Skeleton Crew is then tasked with getting themselves back home, causing them to meet unlikely allies and dangerous enemies. After an incredible first look at Skeleton Crew this past August, Star Wars has finally shared a more in-depth trailer.
The Skeleton Crew trailer, shared on Star Wars' official YouTube, includes never-before-seen clips from the show. Jude Law's "Jedi" character, Jod Na Nawood, gets a heavier feature in this trailer, where he can be seen making some kind of arrangement with the kids to help them navigate the galaxy safely. In the midst of this is a full look at their pirate enemies, New Republic X-wings, and even some old Galactic Republic credits. There's no shortage of Star Wars fun and Easter eggs in this trailer.
What The New Skeleton Crew Trailer Means For Star Wars
This Star Wars Adventure Looks Absolutely Thrilling
This trailer takes a major step up from the TV show's first one, giving audiences a better sense of the characters they'll be following on this journey. It also cements this story as yet another in the franchise that will follow everyday heroes rather than powerful beings such as the Jedi and the Sith; Skeleton Crew elevates this even further by having them be children. Star Wars is thus doing something it has never done before, with the music alone in this trailer proving that, and it has some serious potential to become a massive success for the franchise.
This Show Already Has The Potential To Be One Of Star Wars' Biggest Hits Yet
It's Unlike Anything Star Wars Has Ever Done Before
From its premise to the whimsical feeling this new trailer brings, it's becoming very clear that Skeleton Crew could become an unexpectedly massive hit for Star Wars. It riffs off on the beloved 80s coming-of-age trope in a way that's reminiscent of Netflix's Stranger Things, allowing the audience to see the galaxy through the eyes of children for the very first time in live-action. Not only that, but there are also plenty of head nods to classic lore and beloved time periods, such as the glimpse at the Republic credits.

Where Does Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Fit Into The Timeline?
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is the next TV show to be released in the franchise, and its place in the Star Wars timeline is quite interesting.
So far in Star Wars' live-action TV run, it's the shows that are least expected to become a massive success that do end up becoming very successful, as was the case for both The Mandalorian initially and Andor. If Skeleton Crew ends up delivering on even half of what it's promised in this trailer, then there's no doubt it's going to be a huge hit for Star Wars, particularly as a franchise that was largely developed during the 1980s. Skeleton Crew is going to be a refreshingly new kind of return to the galaxy this holiday season.
