After a quick tease ahead of its at Star Wars Celebration 2025, Bit Reactor took to the stage to reveal more about its game, Star Wars Zero Company. Alongside details about gameplay and plot, five new characters were introduced to the Star Wars universe, including Zero Company's protagonist. With Zero Company set in such an exciting time in the galaxy far, far away, this roster is sure to grow with some fascinating new characters.
A lot was shared at Star Wars Celebration, including Star Wars Zero Company's release window, what platforms it will be available on, and details about gameplay. Set during the Clone Wars, Zero Company will see an elite squad fighting in the shadows for the fate of the galaxy, intermixed with the ongoing conflict raging around them. I can't wait to learn more about the new Star Wars game and get to know more about its cast.
Star Wars Zero Company Will Be An Elite Unit
Teams Will Be A Mix Of Original & Custom Characters
Gameplay for Zero Company will allow you to build teams of experts, which can then be sent out on missions and operations. Anyone who is a fan of the XCOM series should be very familiar with this format, and I'm excited to see the concept brought to Star Wars. Each battle will be woven in with the narrative, with promises that choices will matter and Zero Company's successes and failures will shape the galaxy as a whole.
Teams will be made up of original characters written for Zero Company, as well as custom characters that players will be able to create. This sounds brilliant, meaning no two playthroughs will ever be the same, and every player will have their own unique Zero Company. It will be interesting to see how the original characters are woven into the story and if any established characters from the Clone Wars era will also appear.
Every Star Wars Zero Company Character So Far
Meet The First Of Zero Company
So far, only five characters have been revealed for Star Wars Zero Company, but they already have me intrigued. The first is Hawks, who will be the player character and leader of Zero Company, an elite unit for hire made up of people from very different backgrounds. Described as a disgraced former Republic officer, Hawks is fully customizable and will be in charge of putting together their new team.
Hawks’ appearance, voice, and class are all customizable, with multiple Star Wars races to choose from, including Twi’lek, Togruta, and Zabrak.
Hawks will be ed by Trick, a clone trooper who has served with Hawks previously. Their clearly damaged armor hides serious injuries that occurred in the same disaster that cost Hawks their promising career. Trick is described as having a laconic wit, something he uses as a defense to hide the deep trauma he’s been through.
One character that I’m really looking forward to meeting is Luco Bronc, an Umbaran sharpshooter who has clear issues with the Republic after their invasion of his world. The invasion of Umbara was seen during a fantastic four-episode arc in The Clone Wars, and the conflict pushed many clone troopers to their breaking point. I’m especially eager to see how Luca and Trick interact and if the Umbaran marksman will be able to fully put his grievances aside for the greater good.

Zero Company Is Already Ahead Of Every Other Star Wars Game
Star Wars Zero Company already has a leg up on several other announced Star Wars games, which is nice for this title, but looks bad for the franchise.
Another unusual recruit for a Republic-based team is Cly Kullervo, a Mandalorian gunslinger. Described as infamous and one of the last surviving of Clan Verminoth, an ancient Mandalorian clan never seen before in Star Wars. Cly will be ing Zero Company to help her settle a very personal vendetta. I love Mandalorians, so I’m particularly looking forward to assisting her with that.
Finally, no Star Wars Clone Wars Republic team would be complete without a Jedi, and Zero Company will be ed by Tel-Rea Vokoss. Tel-Rea is a Tognath Jedi Padawan who agrees to help Hawks in order to finish her fallen master’s final mission. Tognath is not a commonly seen species, and I’ll be interested to learn more about her people and her quest from Tel-Rea.
Team Dynamics In Zero Company Will Be Important For Gameplay
Not Everyone Will Be Friends To Begin With
With such a ragtag group of characters made up from all over the galaxy and different sides of the conflict, it will come as no surprise that squad won’t always get along at first. However, sending them out on missions together will grow bonds between them and even unlock new combat options for the team. This feels perfect for a game set in the Clone Wars era, and Star Wars has never shied away from showing how complex that war was and the impact it had on the people involved.

Star Wars Outlaws Second DLC And Switch 2 Version Release Dates Have Been Revealed
Star Wars Outlaws has announced release dates for its second DLC, A Pirate’s Fortune, along with a Switch 2 port coming later this year.
The Clone Wars is an ideal setting for a turn-based tactics game, with both sides of the conflict evenly matched to provide a challenge at every level. As the story unfolds and the characters’ backstories are revealed, I’m eager to see some of the more covert operations that the squads can be sent on, where team dynamics will come into play. With Star Wars Zero Company hinting at a big emerging threat that is spreading across the galaxy, I look forward to meeting more of the team who will make up my squad.
