A recently released Stardew Valley's massive 1.5 update, which added a brand new area for players to visit, among many other things.
While Stardew Valley already has more than enough content to please most people, there are some aspects of it that could still be improved, such as the variety of its livestock species as well as the lack of a school in Pelican Town, just to name a couple. As it currently stands, the only children in the town are Vincent and Jas, who are only tutored by Penny at the town’s museum. Unfortunately, updates for the game may not come for a while, if at all, as Barone recently said that he's currently focusing on his next game.
The Little Red School House mod for Stardew Valley is made by xiddav over at Nexus Mods. It adds an old, broken schoolhouse to Pelican Town that’s situated near the playground. Players can start fixing it up through requests on the special orders board. xiddav notes that players will need to bring the items for the special orders to the woodpile in the dilapidated schoolhouse to complete them. Once the school is fixed up, Penny, Jas, and Vincent will start showing up at the location. It also has its own class hamster named Russel. Players expecting to see Leo at the schoolhouse will have to wait a bit more though as xiddav has yet to meet him in their game and doesn’t want to spoil anything for themselves before making Leo compatible with the mod.
While development for Stardew Valley has slowed down significantly, the modding community surrounding it is still very much alive, as can be seen with xiddav’s Little Red School House mod. Players can easily experience new features, improve the game’s quality of life, and keep it feeling fresh by simply adding different mods based on their preferences. There are a large number of Stardew Valley mods available for players to try out, some of which have become incredibly popular within the game’s community.
It’s always great to see fans of games like Stardew Valley create their own mods to enrich their playing experience and share those mods with others. While the Little Red School House mod may seem relatively small compared to the larger mods out there, the addition of a schoolhouse to Pelican Town is definitely a welcome sight to many of the game’s players.
