Since open-world RPGs have a lot of loot, games like Starfield need vendors who can buy and sell these quality items for good prices. With all the planet-hopping adventures the game has in store, it is important to know which vendors you should mark on your map for a return visit and which you should leave in the stellar dust.
Some of the items players can buy and sell include weapons, ammo, armor, medical supplies, and contraband. Many vendors won't accept contraband, so your best bet is a Trade Authority vendor if you want to buy or sell illegal goods. Some vendors also keep their goods out on shelves. If you're sneaky enough, you can snatch these items at no cost.
5 Jemison Mercantile
Jemison Mercantile is one of the biggest shops in New Atlantis, and for good reason. When you speak to Amoli Bava behind the main counter, she can offer a grand assortment of items. The key items in Amoli's supply are digipicks, Starfield's interpretation of lockpicks. Digipicks are shockingly hard to find. Whether you're just starting to play or have completed most of the game, you'll want to return to Jemison Mercantile to stock up on digipicks.
Another reason why Jemison Mercantile is such a great vendor is because it is easy to find. When you land in New Atlantis's Spaceport, head out of the Spaceport toward the small pond. Jemison Mercantile sits to your left near The Viewpoint and the elevator to The Well.
4 Reliant Medical
Reliant Medical is a major chain of healthcare providers in Starfield. They have offices on multiple planets and offer quality services to those who enter. The two main Reliant Medical vendors you'll want to talk to are Dr. Joseph Manning in Neon on Volii Alpha and Dr. Alexei Lebedev in Reliant Medical's New Atlantis branch on Jemison. Both sell key medical supplies and can cure afflictions like lung disease.
If you're in New Atlantis, head to the Residential District on the right side of the city. Reliant Medical sits between the trees of the MAST District, the buildings of the Residential District, and the pond that loops under New Atlantis's tallest building. If you're in Neon, head to Neon Core. Reliant Medical is right next to the elevator.
3 The Well & UC Surplus
As you explore the beauty of New Atlantis, you're bound to find a particularly useful district called The Well. This district houses an essential shop for early-game players called UC Surplus. This shop, run by Antonia Bianchi, sells weapons, ammo, clothes, and even a few medical supplies. The Well is a great shopping district, which includes two restaurants, a Trade Authority shop, electronic resources from Apex Electronics, and the Med Bay for injuries and addictions.
The Well isn't on the surface of New Atlantis. To access this important district, you'll have to find an elevator in the Spaceport or MAST District. The former is behind Jemison Mercantile while the latter is at the NAT Station once you get off the train. These elevators have multiple destinations, including The Well. This district can be tough to navigate, but considering how often you will need to visit The Well, you'll get your bearings soon.
2 Vladimir Sall
When players survey a new planet, they'll get survey data slates that sell for a lot of Credits. While you can sell these slates to any vendor, the best choice is Vladimir Sall. Vladimir is a former pirate who ed Constellation for a fresh start. He offers more Credits for survey data slates than any other vendor. Vladimir is typically found onboard The Eye, the grand space station orbiting Jemison.
1 Marcel Duris, The Den, & the Trade Authority
The Trade Authority has branches throughout the galaxy, from New Atlantis to Neon. It's the best place to sell hidden contraband in Starfield. The best Trade Authority shop in the entire game can be found on The Den, a huge space station in the Wolf system. You can find the station's Trade Authority depot to your left upon boarding The Den. Marcel Duris, a strong-jawed man with a few facial implants, runs this depot. He'll take everything you have for amazing prices.
