How Katja Herbers Changed Evil Season 4's Ending Detailed By Creator

Stephen King shares a positive review for Evil season 4.

King once again shares his approval for Evil. This was prompted after Herbers shared a video of an interview PBS conducted with King where he says "There's a show called Evil on Paramount+ that I like."

From King's positive reception, Herbers asks if the show can be picked up again and thanks the author. In his post, King praises the chemistry between the lead actors and calls the show "Smart, thought-provoking, occasionally VERY scary."

Could King's Review Help Get Evil Renewed?

The Author's Opinion Is Important In Pop Culture

While the ending of Evil was overall satisfying, the show does have other avenues it could explore. With more seasons that were already planned by the creators, it could continue in that direction or with spinoffs. With King doubling down on his positive reception to the show, it may drum up more interest in the series with the hope of it getting picked up for season 5.

With King and Herbers both campaigning for the show, there is always a chance Evil could get picked up for additional seasons.

King has long highlighted works he enjoys. This goes as far back as 1981's Danse Macabre, a semi-autobiographical non-fiction book where he discusses the history of horror in different mediums. Clive Barker often capitalized on King's praise with the quote “I have seen the future of horror…and it is named Clive Barker” found on many of his novels. More recently, King has used his online platform to review pop culture, like Evil.

While it's unclear if King's recommendation will help change Evil's fate, it will at the very least get more eyes on the series. Earlier seasons of Evil have already found added success when added to the popular streaming service Netflix. With King and Herbers both campaigning for the show, there is always a chance Evil could get picked up for additional seasons.
