Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly Looking into the Distance in Back to the Future

STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie hails from Academy Award-winner Davis Guggenheim, whose documentaries include An Inconvenient Truth, Waiting For Superman, and He Named Me Malala. Like Guggenheim's past work, STILL will provide an unwaveringly honest and intimate of the actor's extraordinary life while giving Fox the freedom to tell his story in his own words. The documentary will also cover the years following Fox's diagnosis which he previously kept private; he was diagnosed in 1991 but did not publicly disclose it until 1998. For the first time, STILL will dive into this never-before-seen part of his life.

The documentary has already received rave reviews, resulting in an excellent 98 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Based on the reviews, the film provides the poignant portrait of the larger-than-life actor that audiences expect it would, though the film appears to be surprising critics with just how hopeful and facetious Fox remains in the face of a devastating degenerative illness. The wait won't be long before audiences can watch STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie at home, as the documentary debuts May 12 on Apple TV+.
