Warning! Potential spoilers for the Destiny of X era of the X-Men
Marvel Comics has revealed the next era for the X-Men and shared a brand new costume for the powerful mutant, Storm. As part of several Destiny of X announcements showcasing the future of the X-Men titles, Marvel also revealed a handful of new looks for some of their most iconic characters. Among the new ensembles is Storm, who gets another new costume that's an absolute home run of a look.
This week, Marvel Comics shared the titles in the X-Men universe. Destiny of X will follow Marvel Comics is teasing "revolutionary status quo changes" for the X-Men, although they haven't elaborated exactly what that means.
Marvel Comics shared a massive new look at the Destiny of X era. In a stunning image from Leinil Francis Yu and Sunny Gho starring more than 30 X-Men characters, readers get a first look at what's coming for their favorite mutant heroes and villains. Among interesting inclusions to the image is Destiny, who's currently starring in the Inferno event from Jonathan Hickman, the most striking hero in the group shot is Storm, who sports an entirely new look that homages some of her greatest costumes while offering something new.
Storm, whose real name is Ororo Munroe, has worn some of the most iconic looks in X-Men history, as the weather-controlling hero has rarely had a costume that missed the mark. The new suit continues Storm's tradition of getting great costumes, as it has many elements from different past looks, including a yellow lightning bolt on her chest and earrings. Perhaps the most striking feature is Storm's hair, which combines her mohawk and long-haired looks for a stellar hairstyle. Storm looks incredibly badass.
