Picking the right initial jobs is very important in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. They can make combat easier or much more fluid to understand. Additionally, combinations of jobs are used to unlock even higher tiers of professions.
In single-player, Jack is the only party member who can quickly gain jobs by leveling up. The other Warriors of Light get their own jobs via story and side missions. However, this restriction is lifted when playing multiplayer online - guests can apply their unlocked jobs even when controlling teammates like Ash and Jed.
Jack will unlock all basic jobs after the first two story missions, Chaos Shrine and Pravoka Seagrot. Because it is so soon into the game, players should concentrate on the two higher tiers - advanced and expert jobs. The longer one ignores correct unlock paths, the more it will take to grind later.
