Square Enix has announced that the next DLC update for Final Fantasy's Trials of the Dragon King DLC, which added new bosses, jobs, and a harder difficulty mode.

Stranger of Paradise is a strange game, as it's a retelling of Final Fantasy 1, except that the villain is now the main character, who is attempting to create a Warrior of Light with the power to break the world free from an endless cycle. The game ends with Jack Garland facing the four Warriors of Light from the beginning of FF1, but the Season has continued the story, with Jack effortlessly defeating these false Warriors of Light, and awakening Bahamut in the process. It's likely that the final DLC will bring things full circle, with Jack finally creating Warriors of Light with the strength to defeat him.

The story of Stranger of Paradise will continue with its next expansion, which is called Wanderer of the Rift. The official Final Fantasy Origin DLC Season . The trailer for the game has confirmed that the titular wanderer is Gilgamesh, a villain from FF5 who wanders the Final Fantasy multiverse and will act as a boss monster in Wanderer of the Rift.

Stranger Of Paradise's Wanderer Of The Rift DLC Adds New Dungeons & Story Content

In of new content, Wanderer of the Rift will add the Labyrinth of Dimensions dungeon, which consists of randomly generated paths and contains new story content. There is also new equipment and a new class of "Chaotic Monsters", which are stronger than the ones in the base game. Wanderer of the Rift will add the Blue Mage job to Stranger of Paradise, which based on the history of the series, will likely be a job that can use enemy powers in battle. It will also be possible to summon monsters with the aid of the Summoning Stone item, which is separate from the Stranger of Paradise Summoner class that was introduced in the previous DLC.

The presence of the Labyrinth of Dimensions is encouraging, considering how the previous Stranger of Paradise lazily forced the players to replay the existing stages in the game in order to see the new story content. The Gilgamesh boss fight also looks fun, keeping with the recent Final Fantasy tradition of him being a challenging high-level boss. It's unclear how much of a role Gilgamesh will have in the story of Stranger of Paradise, considering he's an outsider from another world, so he might just exist as a challenging boss fight. Once Wanderer of the Rift launches, the only Stranger of Paradise DLC left will be Different Future, which might finally offer a concrete conclusion to Stranger of Paradise and its bizarre ending.
