A Stray Dogs movie is in the works that will be Silence of the Lambs meets Lady and the TrampStray Dogs is an Image Comics horror comic book by Tony Fleecs and Trish Forstner that is set to release in 2021. Fleecs and Forstner have previously collaborated on IDW Publishing's My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic comic series.

According to THR, Paramount Animation and producer Gary Dauberman have picked up the rights to the film adaptation of Stray Dogs, which is being described as Silence of the Lambs meets Lady and the Tramp. Dauberman will produce under his banner Coin Operated, with Game Night screenwriter Mark Perez on board to write the script. Plot details for the project are mostly being kept under wraps, but Dauberman hinted at the film's horror elements. "So much of what makes horror work is taking something innocent and twisting it into something scary," said Dauberman. "Like a doll in Annabelle. Or a clown in It. And that’s what we want to do in Stray Dogs: take animation and twist it into something terrifying by using it to explore a really dark story. For me, the project combines a lot of my ions: animation, horror and, well, dogs."

No casting or release date has been revealed for Stray Dogs yet, but more news is expected to come out as the project gets underway. There haven't been too many horror films made about dogs, so this should be an interesting story. While most information regarding the film is being kept hidden, it sounds like the horror flick is in good hands.
