With the release of Season 5 features five combatants in total, the publisher confirmed several months ago.
Dan Hibiki kicked off Season 5 by ing the roster of DLC characters in February. Meanwhile, Akira, Oro, and Rose are slated to release over the course of the next few months. Capcom has yet to confirm which character will enter the mix as the season's final newcomer. Since the mystery character constitutes Street Fighter V's last post-launch DLC character, hopes are high the individual in question is someone particularly special. Capcom is satiating the fan curiosity elsewhere, though, recently releasing gameplay trailers for Season 5's next three additions.
Recently, Capcom shared teaser trailers for each of the three new combatants. Rose, who arrives later this month on April 19, gets a quick gameplay video of her own in which she's shown testing out a few of her moves on Ryu.
Oro receives a 20-second teaser clip that showcases some of his more aggressive battle antics. While Oro is set to go live this summer, a firm release date remains under wraps.
Finally, Akira Kazama of Rival Schools fame takes center stage in her own short trailer. As of writing, Capcom hasn't confirmed a launch window for Akira.
Each of these additions brings something special to the table, specifically in of Street Fighter nostalgia. For instance, Rose, who counts among Street Fighter's most powerful characters, made her series debut over 25 years ago in 1995's Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams. The hermit known as Oro first appeared in the brand's 1997 entry, Street Fighter III. Akira Kazama isn't a legacy Street Fighter character since she'll the Season 5 roster as a guest combatant. However, her role in Rival Schools means she is still a classic Capcom fighting game hero.
As with the title's other DLC releases, players can expect to receive more than just the characters when ing their respective content packs. Each character additionally comes with a special title, battle costume, and anywhere from three to 10 extra colors for their default costumes.
