Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has revealed Brainiac as a major player in the game's events, but it feels like there are more secrets that have yet to be revealed. With the game still a long way from release, it seems very unlikely that there are no other villains waiting in the wings. It's possible that there may be a higher threat than even Brainiac in the Suicide Squad game.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is going to be the latest game in the Arkhamverse, and the first not to star Batman. The game already looks to be a rather bombastic affair from the trailers and general premise. However, with many rumors that Suicide Squad: KTJL is delayed until 2023, fans may have to wait for quite a while to play. Considering the source material and Arkhamverse history, it would not be surprising at all if Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League had at least one more major villain that has yet to be revealed.

For one, the Arkhamverse games have already shown a tendency toward having hidden villains that are revealed late in the story. In Arkham City, Ra's Al Ghul turns out to have been manipulating everything from behind the scenes, including supposed main villain Hugo Strange. Likewise, in Arkham Knight, the identity of the titular villain is revealed to be Jason Todd, one of the former Robins. These reveals were major moments of their respective games, and complete surprises when they were revealed. Even though Brainiac is a great villain choice for KTJL, it's more likely than not that there's at least another villain awaiting players in the Suicide Squad game.

Suicide Squad: KTJL Could Likely Have A Bigger Threat Than Brainiac

Brainiac may be a pawn of something bigger in Suicide Squad: KTJL.

Another reason to expect a surprise villain is the nature of the Suicide Squad themselves. Being a group of conscripted criminals getting orders from one of the most ruthless people in the DC Universe, they don't always have all of the information for a mission. For example, in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, the team didn't know that their mission was a cover-up, nor Peacemaker's true role as Amanda Waller's insurance policy. Given the group's history, there is likely something about the mission in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League that the team isn't aware of. There are several things that the Suicide Squad game could take from the films, and it would be surprising if the storytelling wasn't one of them.

If there is a secret villain in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, it would have to be someone even more powerful than Brainiac. One strong contender would be Darkseid. As a multiversal tyrant who wishes to enslave all living beings, crushing Earth's hope by turning their greatest heroes evil could easily be a scheme of his. Darkseid is well-established as a peak-level threat, so he could easily be a villain that outranks Brainiac. However, Darkseid may be a bit too strong for the Squad's power level. If that is the case, then other powerful manipulators such as Lex Luthor or Sinestro could fill the role of the greater villain. However, one cannot deny that a figure as powerful as Darkseid could mean Suicide Squad: KTJL ends the Arkham games for good, bringing an extra amount of drama.

It is incredibly likely that the trailers have left out some major elements of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League's story, especially regarding its villains. When it comes to the Suicide Squad, nothing can ever be as straightforward as it seems. When Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League releases in 2023, players shouldn't be surprised if someone other than Brainiac has been pulling the strings.
