Suits LA characters have similar roles to the original, Harvey and Louis can’t be replicated.
Rather, the Suits LA is made worse by its muddy characterization. Ted Black (Stephen Amell) may have been billed as the West-Coast Harvey Specter, but he’s nowhere near the same swagger and legal prowess. Meanwhile, Stuart Lane (Josh McDermitt) bears a striking resemblance to Louis personality-wise, but the spinoff leaves much to be desired with his prospective development. Suits LA can’t replace icons like Harvey and Louis, but the spinoff has at least brought the original characters into the modern day with some exciting updates.
Suits LA Episode 12 Reveals That Louis Litt Is Still Married
The Iconic Character Subtly Confirmed His Marriage
In the teaser trailer for Suits LA episode 12 (“Angry Sylvester”), Louis Litt makes his first appearance in the franchise’s newest title with one notable detail— he’s sporting a wedding ring. Throughout the original series, Louis had a complicated relationship with Sheila Sazs (Rachael Harris), originally a representative from Harvard who visited Pearson-Hardman in Suits season 1 and quickly struck up an affair with Louis. Their relationship took sharp turns over the years, with Sheila and Louis fighting, breaking up, reconciling, becoming engaged, and conceiving a child together.
Louis wearing a wedding ring in Suits LA episode 12 indicates that he and Sheila are still together and holding strong, a fitting update for the beloved pair. The marriage confirmation is yet another example of Suits LA acting as a coda to the original series finale, updating the lives of fan-favorite characters over the last six years. Similar to how Suits LA subtly revealed Harvey’s son with his wife, Donna (Sarah Rafferty), “Angry Sylvester” may offer new insight into Louis and Sheila’s post-Suits life together.
Louis' Wedding In The Suits Finale Was Postponed
The Ceremony Was Dramatically Interrupted
Despite their long and arduous courtship, Louis and Sheila were jilted by the Suits series finale and never got the ceremony they deserved. In the Suits season 9 finale (“One Last Con”), Louis had everything in place for the wedding of his dreams— including an absurd outfit and Harvey as his best man. Just as Louis and his bride-to-be met at the end of the aisle, however, Sheila’s water broke. Suits gave the couple all of thirty seconds to profess their love and rush through vows before Sheila was escorted to a nearby ambulance. Now, viewers can get details on how life after a chaotic wedding is treating them.

Suits LA Episode 10 Reveals Why Harvey & Louis Are More Effective Lawyers Than Ted & Stuart
The West Coast spinoff of Suits may have sold Ted Black as the LA counterpart of Harvey Specter, but the original continues to reign supreme.
The ending of Suits has remained controversial for years, but the way the legal drama fumbled Louis and Sheila’s big day wasn’t exactly surprising. Harvey and Donna were robbed of an on-screen marriage after a rushed proposal, and even the wedding between Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel Zane (Meghan, Duchess of Sussex) has been criticized as lackluster. If any character deserved the pomp and circumstance, however, it was undeniably Louis. Although the finale snafu is still disappointing, knowing that Louis and Sheila are happily married during the events of Suits LA is a small consolation.
What To Expect From Louis' Suits LA Appearance
Stuart's Storyline Seamlessly Connects Them
While Ted and Harvey’s shared past in New York helped explain the latter’s return to Suits LA, the announcement that Louis Litt would subsequently appear was a less obvious development. After Stuart’s storyline in Suits LA episode 11, however, it makes perfect sense. The main conflict of “Tearin’ Up My Heart” involved Stuart feuding with acclaimed actress Yvette Nicole Brown, with Brown insisting Stuart seek out an anger management program. Though initially averse to the idea, Stuart and Ted have an intense heart-to-heart to end the episode. The ridiculous storyline ironically sets up the perfect entry point for Louis Litt.
Suits and Suits LA are both streaming on Peacock.
Given the teaser clips of the two hotheads interacting in casual settings and even taking mud baths together, it appears that Stuart and Louis will meet at an anger management retreat. Harvey helped Ted move on from his dark past, and now Louis will presumably help Stuart let go of his festering guilt and fear surrounding David Bowie (Maury Sterling), a dangerous “fixer” who threatened him and his family. Stuart and Louis are a perfect match, but them meeting to try and curb their short tempers will surely make for some of Suits LA’s funniest moments.
