Ahead of its series finale, the trailer for ensemble cast of Suits LA.
While the most memorable episodes of the spinoff’s first (and now last) season included cameos from original cast Gabriel Macht (Harvey Specter) and Rick Hoffman (Louis Litt), the new trailer ed to YouTube on May 11, 2025 reveals the Suits LA series finale will focus on Ted and the rest of the firm. Clips show Erica and Rick interacting, Stuart apparently reaching out to Kevin (Troy Winbush), and Ted in court with his ex-girlfriend, Samantha Railsback (Rachelle Goulding). Ted’s secretary, Roslyn (Azita Ghanizada), additionally warns her boss, ominously saying “He should scare you” before the trailer fades to black.
What This Means For Suits LA's Series Finale
Ted Black Will Get The Last Word
While Louis Litt’s appearance in Suits LA episode 12 and Harvey Specter’s three-episode arc stood out for a reason, the spinoff was always set on forging its own path. Ted Black was meant to be a protagonist worth rooting for, and one who could theoretically even rival Specter in court. The celebrity guests and homages to the original series were successful at drawing attention, but the final conflict will end where Suits LA began: with Ted and his team.

Louis Litt's Suits LA Appearance Highlights Exactly Why The High-Profiled Spinoff Failed To Resonate
Rick Hoffman's reprisal of Louis Litt in Suits LA episode 12 was a treat, but it underscores everything the West Coast spinoff should have been.
By focusing on the West Coast firms, the ensemble cast will have the opportunity to find their own resolution in Suits LA’s series finale. Erica and Rick’s complicated relationship must find some sort of closure, Ted’s past with Samantha will likely be aired out, and unfinished storylines like Leah’s (Alice Lee) writing career will either be given a definitive ending or left unresolved permanently. Giving Ted one final case at least ensures the Suits LA finale stands by its premise and will bring the short series full circle.
Our Take On The Suits LA Finale
The West Coast Spinoff Could Have Been Special
Any series ending after one season is disappointing, but Suits LA could have been a unique procedural if it only had a clearer sense of self from the beginning. The reviews for Suits LA’s pilot episode indicated that there were glaring issues, but they sadly weren’t addressed soon enough. Undoubtedly, the best moments in Suits LA were Louis and Harvey's return, which proves the spinoff’s identity was never distinct enough to beat out the preexisting charm and nostalgia of Suits. Regardless of what happens in the Suits LA series finale, the spinoff's story will unfortunately never feel quite finished.
