NBC Universal ordered a new Suits spinoff that’s expected to focus on a new West Coast law firm that specializes in servicing the entertainment industry.

Now, in a recent interview with original characters from Suits might return for this highly anticipated spinoff. While she doesn’t reveal who these actors might be, she added that she would be excited if some of the original characters featured in this new show. Read her full comments below:

Maybe there will be some sort of rollover from the original cast. It's not impossible. I would love that myself if there was, but we'll see. You never know.

As of the time of writing, there is still a lot that is unknown about the new Suits L.A. spinoff.

As of the time of writing, there is still a lot that is unknown about the new Suits L.A. spinoff. There is yet to be a proposed release date for the show as filming is expected to begin soon. Neither are there concrete story details about the show except that it's expected to be set in the same universe as the original show, and it will follow a former prosecutor named Ted Black who works for powerful clients in LA's entertainment industry.

However, as regards the cast list for the forthcoming show, aside from Lex Scott Davis who has been confirmed to play the role of Erica Rollins, veteran TV actor Stephen Amell is expected to lead the cast, playing the role of Ted Black. Additionally, Troy Winbush is expected to play Black's private detective friend Kevin, while Walking Dead alum Josh McDermitt will also be ing the Suits L.A. cast, playing the role of Stuart Lane, a self-absorbed lawyer who works as Black’s partner.

There are a handful of things Suits L.A. can do to repeat Suits' success. However, one thing in particular would ensure the pilot episode does well.

Seeing as Suits L.A. is also set in the same universe as the original series, Davies’ comment about original Suits characters returning for this spinoff is highly likely. With the show’s filming reportedly beginning in April, Suits L.A. might debut much sooner than many expect and, as such, viewers of this popular franchise might not have to wait long before they see some of their favorite characters on screen once more.
