The CW hosts the Canadian series Sullivan's Crossing in the US, and the romantic drama show is set to return for its third season soon. Based on the novels by Robyn Carr, the series concerns a neurosurgeon named Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan) who gets into some legal trouble and returns to her hometown to develop a relationship with her estranged father, and maybe even fall in love with someone along the way. With its mix of light drama and charming small-town romance, Sullivan's Crossing is quintessential Robyn Carr, and is not unlike Netflix's Carr adaptation, Virgin River.

Announced a day or so after the Canadian premiere date was revealed, the latest news confirms the US release date for Sullivan's Crossing season 3. The popular Canadian romantic drama will begin airing in its home country on CTV starting April 27, 2025, but viewers in the United States will have to wait until Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 8pm EST to see what happens next. Season 3 will feature 10 episodes that will air each Wednesday on The CW, and can also be viewed on The CW app.

Though the show is due to arrive in its native land of Canada a week or so earlier, The CW will start airing Sullivan's Crossing season 3 on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 8pm EST. The current season, as well as both previous seasons, are available to stream on The CW app in the United States.

With a short time to go until the third season is due to premiere in the United States, the cast of Sullivan's Crossing has begun to take shape (via CTV). Returning to lead the ensemble as she has for the first two seasons thus far, Morgan Kohan will be back to play the role of neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan. ing her will be Scott Patterson of Gilmore Girls fame as her father, Harry "Sully" Sullivan, and Chad Michael Murray as Maggie's childhood sweetheart, Cal Jones. Canadian legend Tom Jackson will be back as Frank Cranebear alongside Andrea Menard as Edna Cranebear.

Other confirmed returns include Amalia Williamson, who plays the role of Lola Gunderson, as well as Lindura as Sydney Shandon. Dakota Taylor will return to play Rafe, and Reid Price is confirmed to reprise his role as Rob Shandon. Season 3 also features a bevy of new guest stars, including Steve Lund as the new Fire Chief, Cooper. Battlestar Galactica alum Kate Vernon rolls into town as best-selling author Helen Culver, and Joel Oulette appears as Frank’s cousin Jacob Cranebear. Finally, Torri Higginson and John Ralston will have guest appearances as Cal’s mother Marissa and father Jed, respectively.

Will Sully Survive The Burning Diner?

Even though season 2's finale was a triumphant victory for the Sullivan family when they saved the campground, it wasn't without a frightening cliffhanger. When the diner caught fire, Sully was last seen trapped within, and the episode ended without showing if he survived. Since Scott Patterson is part of season 3's cast, it stands to reason that Sully will escape his predicament, though he may be seriously injured by the affair. Another looming question is whether Maggie can truly commit to small-town life, something she's grappled with throughout the feel-good romance's run.

On the romance front, Maggie finally gave in and itted she loved Cal, which could begin their relationship in earnest. However, Lola's own designs for Cal might get in the way, and it will definitely be a source of drama in season 3. The arrival of a new Fire Chief could also shake things up in the Crossing, as could best-selling author Helen Culver, who has come to town to get inspiration for her next book. With so much happening in Sullivan's Crossing season 3, it's clear that Maggie's small-town life might not be as slow as she once feared.
