While there are plenty of agreed upon birthdays and anniversaries for comic book characters that have been part of pop culture for decades, those dates don't always make it into the canon of adaptations. That's true for Superman & Lois. In the show, the official birthdates of many of the characters have never been revealed. That doesn't mean fans can't figure out the zodiac signs of their favorite characters and discover which one character has theirs in common.

While not every person's traits line up with their own zodiac sign in reality as there are plenty of experiences that can inform personality, in fiction, descriptions associated with different zodiac signs can provide viewers with a blueprint to use to figure out which characters match up best with each of the 12 western zodiac signs.

Aries: Lois Lane

Lois Lane is an interesting character to figure out a zodiac sign for. Her ambitious nature lends itself to Capricorn while her organization and note-taking leans toward Virgo. Lois also, however, has a tendency to jump into situations and ionately defend a cause. Those Aries traits win out.

Aries is often known as the impulsive sign, which explains Lois heading into dangerous situations without backup. It also explains her tendency to not let go of things like her investigation of Morgan Edge, despite everyone else in town telling her to.

Taurus: Clark Kent

Clark has the charm of a Libra or a Gemini, but his dependability and his usually laid back nature fit right in with a Taurus. He's someone who likes the familiarity of a routine, but over his years as Superman has learned to roll with the punches and expect a surprise or two in his life.

A Taurus has the reputation for being stubborn and set in their ways. There are elements of that in Clark with his insistence on staying in Smallville and getting his parents farm up and running again. The protective nature of the Taurus is what comes out in Clark more as he feels a responsibility to the entire world - but especially to his family and Smallville.

Gemini: Jonathan Kent

In the real world, the twins would have the same zodiac sign, but here, their personalities fit best with different signs. Jonathan is easily the more out-going. He quickly makes friends without putting in too much effort. That's thanks to his charm and quick thinking.

Jonathan tries to extend some of that Gemini charm for his brother as well, constantly sticking up for Jordan and introducing him to others. He's also very good at holding his temper, moving on to something new fairly quickly. If something is serious enough to make him mad, his Gemini ability to move on and forgive is definitely tested.

Cancer: Martha Kent

The audience might not get to spend much time with Martha Kent, but she kicks off the events of Superman & Lois. It's Martha's declining health - and then her death - that brings Clark back to Smallville. She leaves quite the impression on the town, and what everyone re about her makes her an easy match for Cancer.

Martha is deeply empathetic, always willing to help a neighbor, give advice, and see the best in everyone. Her emotional intelligence and ability to connect are hallmarks of a Cancer. It's no wonder that everyone in Smallville thinks of her as a friend.

Leo: Morgan Edge

Morgan Edge, like Lois Lane, has a lot of personality traits that would apply to Capricorn and Virgo signs. Ambition and organization are traits they share. Unlike Lois, however, Edge always sees himself as the most important person in the room. He lives for the limelight, which makes covering up his nefarious activities more difficult.

Edge is what happens when Leos ignore their tendency to be loyal to those around him. Instead, Edge lets the Leo love for the spotlight rule him. He wants everyone to see him as the hero even while he destroys lives.

Virgo: John Henry Irons

Clark called him "the Stranger" for the first few episodes of the series while the audience assumed he was a Luthor from another timeline. John Henry Irons has been using that confusion to his advantage, hiding his identity and putting many plans in motion.

It's those plans that make him a Virgo. Irons appears to have backup plans for his backup plans. He's able to conceal his identity and adapt to a new world pretty easily. His knowledge of Superman has been implemented so well that he almost manages to take Clark out completely. The one thing he didn't plan for is Superman's sons.

Libra: Leslie Larr

Libras are usually charming social butterflies, much like Geminis, with a great ability to play devil's advocate. While the audience doesn't see much of that in Leslie, what they do see is the cooperative nature Libras often embody. Libras work best in pairs, which is why they have extreme loyalty to someone.

Leslie has that trait in her relationship with Morgan Edge. Her first appearances in the show are backing Edge up in regards to Lois Lane making noise about his indiscretions. She's the one person privy to all of Edge's plans, and the one person who is making sure they come to fruition.

Scorpio: Sam Lane

Sam Lane isn't exactly the family man his daughter Lois desires. He tries to make time for his grandsons, but he puts his duty to the government first. In addition to being the kind of guy who keeps his emotions guarded, he's also someone who keeps secrets "for everyone's own good." Part of that is the result of the job, while part of that is the result of Sam not being much of a talker.

All of those traits combine to make the perfect mix for a Scorpio. He's also got the aggressive pursuit of his goals that Scorpios bring to the table.

Sagittarius: Chrissy Beppo

Chrissy might be spending her life running a paper in a small town, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have the same sense of adventure and wonder that a Sagittarius has. That's part of the reason she ires Lois Lane's investigative instincts so much - and she's willing to follow up on dangerous leads.

Typically, a Sagittarius is exemplified by their wanderlust and love of learning - and storytelling. Chrissy is definitely more in line with that latter as she's fascinated by Lois' approach to reporting and loves to see the mysteries unfold.

Capricorn: Lana Cushing

Clark Kent's first love didn't leave Smallville behind, but instead, married and raised her family there. She's got a sense of responsibility for the town. Lana doesn't have ambition in the same way most people think of it. She's not out to get ahead, but she is out to make sure everyone in Smallville has a chance to thrive. Lana even agrees to help Lois investigate Morgan Edge for the good of everyone.

That sense of duty is very much a Capricorn trait. So is Lana's commitment to her family and her hardworking attitude. She's barely holding her family together after conflicts with her teenage daughter and rough patches with her husband, but she's not giving up.
