Warning! Spoilers for Batman/Superman World's Finest #4 by DC Comics
Hal Jordan's Superman weapon, as the mind-controlled hero's constructs get a magical upgrade. In a new preview for Batman/Superman World's Finest #4 by DC Comics, Superman becomes vulnerable to Jordan's creations, as the Devil Nezha gives the hero an upgrade making him the perfect Superman-stopper, exploiting the Man of Steel's second-biggest weakness.
Superman is one of the most indestructible heroes in comics, as few powers or abilities are capable of taking the god-like being down. However, one of Superman's most significant weaknesses, besides kryptonite, is magic. The Man of Tomorrow has struggled against magic-s, as they have found a way to weaken him through spells and deadly attacks. Now, against the Devil Nezha, the Green Lantern is being turned into a Superman weapon, as his powers get a magical boost from the ancient villain.
In a new preview for Batman/Superman World's Finest #4 by Mark Waid, Dan Mora, Tamra Bonvillain, and Aditya Bidihar by DC Comics, the mind-controlled Green Lantern takes on his fellow heroes. Under the influence of the Devil Nezha, Green Lantern traps Superman and Batman in a construct-made prison made from his Power Ring and injures the Man of Steel with a green blade that leaves him bloodied. Batman is shocked by the corrupted Green Lantern's powers, itting his Power Ring is "primarily about energy constructs" and that the only way it could be affecting Superman so easily is if the Devil Nezha augmented it with magic.
Batman doesn't have time to react to the magic being used via Green Lantern's Power Ring to weaken Superman, as the Devil Nezha appears as the devil-like ancient creature chokes the hero before revealing he wants "everything from the hero." Meanwhile, a bloodied Superman tries to fight the Green Lantern, who constructs a mech-like armor in the battle. But, with the magical power upgrade, the mind-controlled Hal Jordan has his best chance at defeating Superman than ever before.
It remains to be seen how Superman and Batman will get out of the deadly predicament against the powerful magic- and the boosted evil Green Lantern, as they've exploited the former's weakness. But, he has no answer for once against his fellow Justice League hero. Perhaps, this is where the new Superman/Batman hybrid hero steps in and makes their debut to help save the heroes? Regardless, the Devil Nezha and magic-powered Green Lantern are Superman's worst nightmare, as he'll need some serious help in defeating them. Batman/Superman: World's Finest #4 by DC Comics arrives in comic book stores tomorrow.
