While Superman always tries to see the best in people, even villains, the Man of Steel hates one villain and evil superteam more than any other: Ultraman and the Crime Syndicate. Superman once expressed rare frustration over the Justice League not trying to take down their evil counterparts, as he snapped at Batman and Wonder Woman for not putting their full attention on stopping the Crime Syndicate once and for all.

The Crime Syndicate is DC's evil version of the Justice League from Earth-3, as the group represents the darkest versions of the main heroes from the DC Universe. The team consists of evil versions of Superman (Ultraman), Atom (Atomica), Firestorm (Deathstorm), Cyborg (Grid), Flash (Johnny Quick), Martian Manhunter (The Martian, Aquaman (Sea King), Power Ring (Green Lantern), Superwoman (Wonder Woman), and Batman (Owlman). Led by Ultraman, the Crime Syndicate rule their world with an iron fist. They are responsible for numerous atrocities in their own world and are dictators. Ultraman has the opposite powers of Superman; the longer he's away from Anti-Kryptonite, the weaker he becomes. Despite their differences, Superman hates his evil counterpart for a good reason.

Superman has understandably been frustrated with his dark opposite from Earth-3, as the hero once exploded at the Justice League for how they managed a mission on the villain's world. In Trinity #10 by Kurt Busiek, Mark Bagley, Art Thibert, Peter Pantazis, and Pat Brosseau from DC Comics, Superman angrily told his fellow heroes that Ultraman and the Crime Syndicate are tyrants who have murdered hundreds of people in the main DC Universe, enslaved their own planet, and get away with it because of how their reality operates. Superman its he will "never accept" that they can't be stopped - as he calls out the Justice League for focusing on other villains from Earth-3.

Superman's Ultraman Hate Is Warranted

Superman Hates Ultraman Crime Syndicate

Having a doppelganger from another Earth is complicated enough on its own, but considering Ultraman represents the worst aspects of Superman, Kal-El understandably wants to stop him for good. His hate is more than warranted, as Ultraman's reign going unchecked bugs him to his core, as Superman can only sit and watch as the dark Man of Steel rules his planet as a tyrant. With villains on his own Earth, Superman can intervene as needed, but unless he travels to Earth-3 or the Crime Syndicate come to him, he's helpless in stopping Ultraman.

Ultimately, Superman hates Ultraman because he's the evil version of himself who has embraced the darkest side of what the hero could become. Ultraman and the Crime Syndicate rule their world as dictators, so Superman seeing them control their reality and watching the Justice League do little about it fuels his anger like few other things do.
