Only time will tell if they will become as beloved as the characters of Supernatural. Fans are hoping that they might get to see any of their favorite characters. Even though Supernatural ended at the end of 2020, fans have continued showering their love on their favorite characters, voting for their favorites over on Ranker.

Rowena

Rowena was introduced as an antagonist on Supernatural but she quickly became one of the villains that fans started to adore. Her sass and witty humor turned her into one of the most likable characters and now she is a fan favorite.

Due to this, she is one of the very few characters that lasted until the final season of the show. Rowena has backstabbed the Winchesters plenty of times but, by the end, she became their ally and she even had a martyr's death to save the world. Currently, she is the reigning Queen of Hell, a seat that was once occupied by her son, Crowley.

Lucifer

Lucifer Supernatural

Lucifer is one of Supernatural's main villains, proving to be extremely evil. He first escaped his cage when Sam broke the 66th seal in the season 4 finale. He was a frighteningly impressive Satan in season 5.

However, many fans believe that his persona became less and less scary with time as the creators of the show kept on bringing him back, first in Sam's hallucinations in season 7 and then again in season 12. He seemed more of a brat than a malicious villain in the later seasons of the show, which might be why he's not one of fans favorite villains.

Charlie

Felicia Day as Charlie in Supernatural

Supernatural has always been criticized for its treatment of women. As a way to answer the criticism, Charlie is introduced in season 7 as a lesbian computer nerd. She subsequently became a recurring character.

Charlie is not only an invaluable ally to the Winchesters, but she is like a little sister they never had, especially to Dean. Charlie and Dean have an adorable friendship as they are both big pop culture nerds. Over the course of the series, watching them together is always a treat for the fans.

Gabriel

Gabriel the archangel in Supernatural.

Gabriel is also known as the Trickster. He is a jovial archangel, who was first introduced in season 2 as kind of a prankster. He is the reason that fans have enjoyed some of the most entertaining episodes of the show, such as "Mystery Spot" and "Changing Channels".

Gabriel wanted to live his life buried in carnal desires until he meets the Winchesters, who convince him to help them save the world. He faked his death multiple times on the show but is finally killed by the Apocalypse world in season 13. Fans liked Gabriel for his humor and his fondness for the materialistic human world. He is also the only good-hearted archangel who loved his family a lot and this made fans sympathize with him.

Jody

Both badass and also extremely kind-hearted, Jody is one of the strongest women on the show, which is why she is beloved in the fandom. She and Donna adopt many teenage girls, who are either hunters or have supernatural abilities.

In many ways, Jody is like Bobby as she takes care of the Winchester brothers very much as he did. This makes her endearing to fans, especially after Bobby's death in season 7. She is one of the few people on the show who are still supposed to be alive at the end.

Death

Supernatural Death makes his introduction arriving in Chicago on his white horse

One of the best character introductions in Supernatural, Death, played by Julian Richings, is beloved in the fandom. Richings did a great job in portraying the authoritative nature of the character; whenever he showed up on the screen, there was always a sense that the others are supposed to do whatever he says.

Death commanded every scene he was in. It was the right way to showcase the character because he is one of the most powerful beings in the series and is as powerful as God himself. He was also kind of an ally to the Winchesters as he helped them defeat Lucifer in season 5.

Sam

Sam Winchester uses his powers in Supernatural

One of the main protagonists of the show, Sam Winchester was destined to become the vessel of Lucifer even before he was born. Audiences fell in love with Sam from the moment they witnessed his nerdy, boyish charm in the pilot episode of Supernatural.

Bobby

Bobby is the surrogate father of Dean and Sam and he cares about them more than John ever did. Fans love his dry humor and the gruff way he shows love to the people he cares about. The way he says "Idjits" makes it one of the most popular words in the fandom.

He acts strong but, on the inside, he is one of the softest characters on the show. Until his death, Sam and Dean never really felt like they qwew orphans and even after he died, he refused to leave them and haunted them as a spirit.

Castiel

Castiel threatens someone in Supernatural

Castiel, or the Angel of Thursday, is a character that came to the show for three episodes but lasted 12 years. During that time, he amassed a large amount of fan-following. The actor who plays him, Misha Collins, has used the popularity of his character for numerous charitable projects and helped millions of people. Castiel's devoted fans are the reason that the showrunners could never kill him off completely until the end.

The character arrived in season 4 and eventually became an integral part of the Winchesters' lives. Dean started trusting him when Cas rebelled against heaven for him, which led to them being best friends. His character arc came to a conclusion with him making a romantic declaration of love for the elder Winchester brother - one of the best things to ever happen to Dean - which makes him an iconic character not just for the fans but in pop culture in general.

Dean

Dean is shocked after Sam tells him they cannot be brothers in Supernatural

Many Supernatural fans seem to agree that Dean Winchester is the best character in the show. Dean is a famous figure in pop culture and many of his quotes will live long. Dean is truly the heart and soul of Supernatural.

Jensen Ackles played the complex character for 15 years and it was always interesting to see how he could make the character hilarious one moment and then extraordinarily emotional the next. His layered portrayal is what made fans fall in love with him. Fans of Dean Winchester know that the character of Dean will leave in their hearts forever and they are excited to hear his voice in the prequel.
