With America Ferrera's directorial debut in Netflix's film adaptation of a popular young adult novel, and Colton Dunn starring in not one, but two, different kids' animated series, the diverse and eccentric cast of Superstore are still very much involved on the screen. Many of the castmates of the underrated workplace comedy have moved on to other projects, such as hosting podcasts or venturing into voice acting for animated shows.

Between romantic will-they/won't-they plotlines, bright-eyed and blundering seasonal hires, rude and ridiculous customers, and a recurring severed-foot mystery, Superstore ran for a successful six seasons before ending in March 2021. Although it's too soon to expect a full cast reunion, some of the former cast have been reunited on new shows.

America Ferrera (Amy) - I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter

America Ferrera starred as Amy, the ambitious and hard-working main character and floor manager who desperately tried to hold the Cloud 9 employees together. Despite the brief hiatus where she left the store and the show for a corporate position in LA, Amy/Ferrera did eventually return for the final episodes.

While she has directed a few Superstore episodes, Ferrera is making her feature directorial debut for Netflix's film adaptation of I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter. According to Netflix, she'll be working alongside Linda Yvette Chávez, co-creator of the MACRO series, Gentefied, on which Ferrera also worked as a producer. Similar to Ferrera's journey on Superstore, the film portrays the stereotypes Mexican Americans face, as well as the burdensome weight of holding everyone together.

Ben Feldman (Jonah) - Monsters At Work

While Ben Feldman is perhaps better known for his role in Silicon Valley or Mad Men, his Superstore character, Jonah, exemplifies Feldman's ease with satire and sitcom humor. Coming in as a privileged and relentlessly optimistic college dropout and new hire, Jonah is arguably the main character of the series, and he's often in the middle of any mess.

Since the series finale, Feldman has been part of a few different projects, such as voicing Tylor, a character on Disney Plus's Monsters, Inc spin-off series, Monsters at Work. In a TV Insider interview, he discussed the similarities between his animated character and his Superstore character, specifically that they're both new hires eager to please and fit in. Feldman has also been a guest on a few podcasts, such as the We Are Family podcast, where he shared his candid thoughts on fatherhood.

Lauren Ash (Dina) - Chicago Party Aunt

Cloud 9's authoritarian assistant store manager, Dina, played by Lauren Ash, was a loyal friend to Amy, an impressive employee, and she even developed an unexpected relationship with Garrett. She also acted as a surrogate for Glenn and Jerusha, and ran the entire store by herself during curbside pick-up.

Ash also hosts two podcasts: Giving It Up For Less and True Crime & Cocktails. Currently, she is voicing Diane, the main character on Netflix's new adult animated series, Chicago Party Aunt, alongside her former Superstore co-star, Jon Barinholtz. One thing Dina has in common with all of Ash's other characters is tenacity and an unfiltered attitude, whether it's oversharing on her podcast or Diane's blunt personality.

Colton Dunn (Garrett) - Big City Greens

Portrayed by Colton Dunn, Garrett was Superstore's laid-back and sarcastic store announcer who was always giving his bare minimum. After some time, he started to care more for his friends and co-workers but still was known for his brutal honesty. Garrett's unorthodox relationship with Dina felt more like enemies with benefits and was bizarrely entertaining.

Most recently, Dunn has been seen in Fox's sitcom, Pivoting, and as several characters in the Nickelodeon animated series, Middlemost Post. In the latter, he voices the recurring character, Mayor Peeve, who hates Middlemost Post and the workers. This is not unlike Dunn's Superstore character, Garrett, who hates Cloud 9 and is often annoyed by his co-workers. Dunn is also voicing various characters in the Disney Channel's animated series, Big City Greens. According to Variety, Dunn will also be in Noah Centineo's spy drama series on Netflix.

Mark McKinney (Glenn) - The Kids In The Hall

As the lovable and clueless store manager, Glenn had a lot of heart and a lot of years invested in Cloud 9. Mark McKinney captured Glenn's kindness and generosity with a perfect balance of comedy and eccentricity.

Before Superstore, McKinney was a writer and member of the hilarious sketch comedy series, The Kids in the Hall. The sketch comedy ran from 1988 to 1995 and was known for its ridiculous characters and outlandish sketches. Just like with Glen, McKinney's part in the cult series was irable and quirky. It has been announced that McKinney will be reuniting with his former castmates to be part of Amazon Prime's eight-episode reboot of The Kids in the Hall, debuting on May 13.

Nichole Sakura (Cheyenne) - Maggie

For all six seasons, Nichole Sakura played Cheyenne, the bubbly, vapid, young mom and make-up counter associate. Known for her hilarious relationship with Bo and gossipy friendship with Mateo, Cheyenne was a loyal friend and devoted mother. Starting out as an immature and pregnant teenager, Cheyenne had one of the biggest character arcs on Superstore.

Currently, Sakura is a series regular on the NBC comedy series, Maggie. Unlike her Superstore character, Sakura will be portraying Louise, the single and flirty childhood best friend of Maggie. While her Superstore character had a family with Bo and Harmonica, both Cheyenne and Louise are ride-or-die friends to the ones they love. According to Deadline, the comedy is now streaming exclusively on Hulu.

Nico Santos (Mateo) - No Projects

Mateo scowling and holding a Cloud 9 coffee mug

At Cloud 9, Mateo was known for his relentless determination, competitive spirit, and straightforward attitude. Despite his ruthless fight to stay front and center, he also shed a lot of light on the struggles of being an undocumented citizen. Throughout the series, Mateo remained both a strong opponent and friend to many of his co-workers.

Outside of the show, Nico Santos displays that same determination as Mateo, often speaking on LGBTQ+ rights as well as representing MPTF NextGen. According to his Instagram page, he recently became engaged to his boyfriend, Survivor star Zeke Smith, at the GLAAD Media Awards. While he does not have any projects as an actor, he is very active on his Instagram page.

Kaliko Kauahi (Sandra) - No Projects

Sandra looking shocked in Superstore

After Kaliko Kauahi's character became a series regular, Sandra started getting a lot of great plotlines. Some of her more outrageous moments include her fake boyfriend Jeff, who was Mateo's actual boyfriend; and the love triangle with her future husband, Jerry. Even though she was soft-spoken, she was also a silent savage, especially when it came to Sandra's iconic scenes and rivalry with Carol.

Although Kauahi does not have any projects as of yet, viewers are likely to see her on their TV screens in the future. In the past, she has had guest roles on other sitcoms, such as the Disney Channel's That's So Raven spin-off series, Raven's Home, as well as Brooklyn 99, The Big Bang Theory. and Parks and Recreation.

Jon Barinholtz (Marcus) - Chicago Party Aunt

Cloud 9's moronic warehouse manager seamlessly became a series regular as the show progressed. Portrayed by Jon Barinholtz, Marcus hit on almost every female employee, had a secret friendship and definite obsession with Jonah, and was known for his ludicrous antics and one-liners.

Currently, he voices Mikey on Netflix's adult animation show, Chicago Party Aunt, where he is also a co-creator. Unlike Marcus, Barinholtz's Chicago Party Aunt character is a caring and gentle giant; however, neither character is the sharpest tool in the shed. Based on Chris Witaske's popular Twitter , the animated series also stars Barinholtz's former Superstore cast member, Lauren Ash, as well as his brother, Ike Barinholtz.

Johnny Pemberton (Bo) - Middlemost Post

The wannabe-rapper/DJ/husband/dad was enough of a recurring character to feel like a series regular. Between his flash-mob proposal to Cheyenne in the pilot episode, his hilarious shenanigans, and his run as a surprisingly good Cloud 9 employee, Bo definitely deserved more screentime.

Since the series finale, Johnny Pemberton has voiced Ryan, a character in Middlemost Post alongside his former Superstore cast member, Colton Dunn. Interestingly, Pemberton's character is the assistant to Dunn's character, Mayor Peeve. While Bo often came off as cartoonish, Ryan is a loyal assistant. Pemberton has just recently completed the filming of a new movie, Unplugging, and is now in the middle of filming Future Date.
