  • I thoroughly enjoyed A Quiet Place: Day One. They did a great job building on the premise, Lupita Nyong'o gave a memorable performance, and the aliens were as terrifying as ever.

  • Truly, genuinely fantastic - buzzing with energy all the way through. Quite Place: Day One is perhaps the best argument for treating a story as a 'universe' rather than a standalone narrative. The movie doesn't have any need to waste time on where these creatures came from or how they work, both in the literal narrative sense of 'how and why,' but also the tonal sense that it's about Lupita Nyong'o's amazing main character, not the aliens. A rare movie that respects your time and uses it wisely. Only not five stars because while it nails exactly what it's trying to be, it doesn't quite break new ground. You've seen this done before, just not this well.

  • While it may not have a well-paced story of the previous installments, Day One succeeds in having good tension, jump scares, and an emotional compelling performance by Lupita Nyong'o.

  • The prequel part of Quiet place 2 did a better job than this prequel movie.

  • A Quiet Place: Day 1 is a masterfully crafted prequel that expands the chilling universe created by john krasinski. From the very first scene, the film plunges audiences into a relentless, heart-pounding survival story, brilliantly capturing the chaos and terror of humanity's initial encounter with the sound-sensitive creatures. offering a fresh, gripping perspective on the beloved franchise. this is a must-watch for fans of the series and high-stakes moments. the visuals enhance the storytelling and making the stakes feel personal and urgent.

A Quiet Place: Day One Review - John Krasinski's Horror Franchise Has Officially Overstayed Its Welcome
4/10

Lupita Nyong'o is great, but A Quiet Place: Day One has the depth of paper and less effective scares and tension than either of the first two movies.
