  • I really don't understand the appeal of this movie. The plot seems extremely thin with little to no message. There are two main positives about Baby Driver – the incredible driving sequences and the stellar soundtrack. These two elements are great enough that I am willing to give an otherwise boring movie a higher score.

  • Every time I watch Baby Driver, it grows on me more, and it's clearly a labor of love. The cast get surprisingly little time to create a compelling cast of rogues, though the movie makes the huge mistake of choosing the wrong villain for its final stretch. Why is [spoiler] suddenly a good guy?

  • Love the use of music as the backdrop to the entire film and a way to add an extra layer of depth to the narrative. The style in this film is off the charts and features some of my favorite driving sequences ever. Not as satisfying by the end than I thought it would be, but still a good time at the movies.

  • Edgar Wright was put on this Earth to make movies, and we are lucky enough to be here with him. Not just a great heist & car chase movie, the audio on this is the real star. Songs perfectly match the action, and when Baby removes one of his earbuds, the music in that speaker actually fades out, putting you in his shoes (and iPod). This is what movies are supposed to be.
