A used to be really high on this movie and thought it was the perfect continuation of Before Sunset. On my latest rewatch didn't feel as strongly about it as I used to. Still wonderfully written and superbly acted. Wished that the love the characters had for each other showed through a bit more after how perfect the ending of the previous movie was.

A third film in the Before series has tough acts to follow. The spontaneity of the first and the longing of the second means the third necessarily can’t be focused on either. After a whirlwind first film and an aching second, the slow balance of aging with love the third film brings is a breath of fresh air.
