With its incredible character writing, stellar drama, and how masterfully it builds up its drama to its poignant bittersweet ending, Better Call Saul is an incredible drama from start to finish and an even better follow-up to Breaking Bad that even sures it in many areas. Even if someone's never watched Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul works perfectly as a standalone series, and any drama lovers would be remiss to it up.

I would mostly watch sitcoms over and over again, which need 20-30 mins of your time and you feel good after watching.

HOWEVER, after I started Breaking Bad (which I somehow watched very late), I was completely hooked and watched 2-3 episodes on a week night. Once it finished, I was overwhelmed and thought ‘now what??!!’. I could not imagine something can be as intriguing, exciting, captivating and just brilliant, but then someone recommended Better Call Saul. I reluctantly started watching and frankly it did not excite me much for the first few episodes. But then Chuck’s character came along and Odenkirk’s magic began! I felt so bad for Jimmy for the way Chuck treated him and at the same time was so glad to see how Kim ed him! I can go on and on an on, but after watching Better Call Saul 3 times, I feel it sured Breaking Bad in few aspects! While they are incomparable, I feel in both the series, Vince and Peter have put so much efforts and emphasis on character development and there is no hurry to do that which is brilliant to me! Arguably the best series you can watch over and over again and you still notice something new everytime!! God Bless you Vince Gillighan and Peter Gould!!

This is and will remain one of my all time favorite shows and series of all time! The writer did such an excellent job with it I was always at the edge of my seat as I watched completely in fun, excitement, & suspense! Best show EVER!!!

I for one loved it. Slow to start but soon picked up pace. Jimmy and Kim made a great couple. Interesting to find out how he made his way. The complex relationship with his brother. The downfall and ending of his complicated life was, I found quite sad. I wanted him and Kim to ride off into the sunset and be happy forever.

The first couple seasons of Better Call Saul suffered from minor pacing issues but during it's last few seasons it achieves a level of quality that meets and even sures Breaking Bad at times. Bob Odenkirk, Rhea Seehorn, Jonathan Banks, and so many more of the cast consistently put viewers on the edge of their seats while also filling their eyes with tears. They all deserve many awards for their performances in a spin-off series that more than proves it's worth.

Very Close But Both Technically and Artistically Better than BB

Breaking Bad walked so Better Call Saul could run. It's like they took everything that worked from BB and added even more to it. What I especially love about this series, in addition to the dialogue, the acting, the emotional moments, is that you COULD also theoretically watch it without having watched BB first. They really fleshed out all these characters and gave them amazing, complicated stories.

I can't put this on the same level as Breaking Bad, but I do genuinely believe Better Call Saul is a masterpiece in TV writing. Across 6 meticulously well-planned seasons, the show digs into the mind and life of Bob Odenkirk's Jimmy McGill, and unveils the circumstances that led him to become Saul Goodman.

Every season opens with a short clip hinting at another chapter in Jimmy's life, and it isn't fully resolved until season 6, but it shows the care and attention that went into the series from the start. Vince Gilligan did an outstanding job crafting elaborate characters, in tragic circumstances, while also layering in comedy to avoid becoming too heavy.

In addition, Odenkirk and his co-star, Rhea Seehorn have one of the most beautiful and organic love stories on TV as it evolves, warts and all over the course of the show.

A wonderful prequel / (kinda) sequel to Breaking Bad that highlights why Saul Goodman was such an intriguing character from the get go. Bob Odenkirk is so good as the titular character, carrying levity and heartache in equal measure. The rest of the cast is also ridiculously good.
