A true masterpiece; original and unique, this film combines the Western and Horror genres in a way you’ve never experienced. With a deep but simple plot — well-written, well-acted… well-executed — Bone Tomahawk is relentless and unapologetic in its honest, unintimidated cautionary tale about what happens when expansive civilization bumps up against regressive, barbarianism and savagery. This is not a movie for kids! (As an adult, I couldn’t stop seeing the “cave scene” when I closed my eyes to sleep for days afterwards [and, for some reason, also couldn’t stop thinking about splitting the turkey’s wishbone with a family member around the Thanksgiving dinner table]).

I have seen a lot of westerns in my 75 years; and BONE TOMAHAWK is the best I have seen this century, if not ever. It is CERTAINLY the best Western MOVIE since the Ron Howard/Tommy Lee Jone/Cate Blanchert masterpiece, THE MISSING, itself similar to THE SEARCHERS and BONE TOMAHAWK. That being said, I think the three best westerns of all time are actually, in ascending order, LONESOME DOVE, BROKEN TRAIL and, best of all, HELL ON WHEELS.

Caught this late one night. And whilst watching it, Found it had some great characters and a good story. And some excellent violence in it. Very highly recommended. If horror/westerns appeal to you.

I give Bone Tomahawk 4 stars. One of the best Westerns ever made. That gory scene made the movie more Believable. But the best Western ever made is Clint Eastwoods The Unforgiven W

Excellent movie,you do have to that it is a movie,not real,otherwise it can blow your mind.

My husband and I watched this when it first came out and we loved it! It's actually a great movie. A very refreshing western in a world full of the same old kinds of western movies.

My boyfriend and I were watching Bone Tomahawk and started laughing at each other.

We were laughing at each other because we were SCREAMING LIKE LITTLE GIRLS! we loved it!!!

This movie is unwatchable. It's so bad, there were times when I started laughing at how awkward the actors were, trying to act out their scenes. I'm stunned by this review.
