Borderlands is a cooperative sci-fi first-person shooter from Gearbox Software and is the first entry in the looter-shooter franchise. Players take on the role of a Vault Hunter, one of four characters who all arrive at the same time to find the mysterious Vault hidden in the planet, that contains untold treasures. Players will find themselves meeting and helping several of the planet's residents as they build an ever-expanding arsenal of weaponry on their quest for the Vault.
