Best show ever made

Truly a show that never got the respect it deserved. It spoke to the realities of high school, combining teenage feelings with monsters to highlight how those years FEEL. The series turned a cheesy movie flop into high drama, and consistently raised the stakes (pun intended). Because it was SO of its time, it can feel very dated now, but the emotions are still spot on.

This show still holds my interest. I've seen every episode more than 50 times. Rating 10 out of 10. I enjoy visiting fan sites. But only fir this show and Angel. Long live the Scoobies(I include die hard fans in this noble group).

Buffy holds up more than you'd expect, partly because every single one of the main cast are doing their part, especially Sarah Michelle Gellar. Whedon has long had a grasp on pop culture formulas, and the personalities of the Scooby Gang vs a monster of the week format was custom designed to produce a great show. Of course, formula-thinking also comes with downsides, and some of the show's darkest moments feel false because of their clear laser-focus on the heartstrings.

I won't believe anything until I actually see a teaser on Hulu. I've loved Buffy since Welcome to the Hellmouth in 97. I'm so glad to hear SMG will be a part of this. The only reason to watch a BtVS sequel is for Buffy not tVS. One potential/slayer I'd love to see is the amazing Felicia Day (Vi). Any Supernatural fans out there will her as Charlie. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

My only critique of the series is if the movie is canon then the "watchers" and "the watcher council" are confusing. Merrick stated in the movie" the watcher is born with all the knowledge of the previous watcher to guide and train the slayer. They must only guide and not partake in the fight or die a horrible death" of which merrick succumbed when he intervened to save buffy in the film.

The show captures youth angst and issues. Personifying many teen dramatic/tramatic milestones with mythological creatures and supernatural powers. Tackling many issues from bullying, sexuality, drugs, etc with stories that fluidly flow to an interwoven tapestry, the show was a great watch the 1st time through, and again the 5th or sixth time through 20yrs later. A few episodes that really stick out were the silent episode HUSH, where no one spoke, despite having much to say to one another. Another, ONCE MORE WITH FEELING, the musical where the songs were central to the storyline and the characters were aware they were singing as a result of a summoning. Finally, how Buffys love interest Angel "changed" after her first fully physical romantic encouter with him, as he had 'lost his soul' as a result and was no longer good to her. Many issues tackled like relationship dynamics changing post physicallity were relatable because even if the issue of the week didnt happen to you, you knew someone it had. It is definite women empowerment, but ithe stories are so well told and interconnected that it never was pandering or cheesey. I wish there had been more spinoffs, though the show covered so much, it felt like there were still infinite possiblities

I love this show ever since it first came out.i still watch the TV show on Hulu or Tubi I already watched ever season twice in the last few months. When I can't find anything to watch I catch up with my friends in Sunnydale. I had a crush on Sara Mitchell Geller since I was 12 when the first episode came on

It's one of the greatest tv shows of all time.

Buffy is coming back to TV except TV is streaming now and the OGs who graduated with the Sunnydale Class of '98 are now raising our own teenagers and it is WILD.

One of the best shows of all time, even if the last two seasons are not quite the same.

I loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer great show I would watch it again I am now going to watch Angel the Spin off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I was a massive fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer when it aired many years ago. It was my favourite show and the best thing on TV and the cast were amazing_ especially Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz. The series spin of “Angel” sited snd it was superb .

Mind you I am a big love of anything Vampire.

I had bought lots of memorabilia and still have , figures, mugs, a set of China hanging wall plates, a pencil case, collectives cards ect.

i still love all things Vampire and when the series finished I was gutted.

i went on to watch Vampire Diaries and then the Twilight movies. Which I open and watch regularly .

today I still love anything anything Vampire.
