Synopsis
The second Creed spin-off movie is the eighth installment in the Rocky franchise, continuing the story of both Apollo Creed and Rocky Balboa. After rising to the top of the boxing world, Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) comes to face to face with Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren), the man who killed his father Apollo in Rocky IV. Tempted with a grudge match against Drago's son, Creed 2 sees Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) coach Adonis against his most dangerous opponent yet.

Creed II Review: Adonis Still Knows How to Pack a Punch

Creed II is a meaningful and poignant continuation of the Creed/Rocky films, even though it doesn't scale the same artistic heights as its precursor.

Hard to live up to the first Creed, but this movie is a great chance for Tessa Thompson's character to flourish beyond what she could in the first film. A great revival franchise!

Probably my favorite of the Creed franchise. The tension of the final fight was built up so well considering Adonis' struggles throughout the whole film, and the final moment between the Dragos was really touching and the reconciliation they deserved.

Michael B. Jordan does some of his best work here, showing an intense vulnerability that is refreshing for the genre, something Stallone did perfectly over his journey as Rocky.
