Synopsis
Dexter is a television series following Dexter Morgan, a blood spatter analyst for Miami Metro Police who secretly leads a dual life as a vigilante serial killer. Released in 2006, the show focuses on Dexter's internal conflict as he hunts down criminals who elude justice within the legal system.

Dexter Review: An Addictive & Masterful Thriller Series That Flatlines In Its Later Seasons

The Dexter original series had the potential to be an all-time great series but fumbled in its latter half, which arguably should not have been made.

While some seasons were clearly better than others, the true achievement of this series is the outstanding protagonist and brilliant casting of Michael C. Hall. It feels like Hall was born to play Dexter and he is one of those characters that I would gladly follow in any setting, which is why I'm so excited for the prequel series and sequel series Resurrection.
A 4.5-star rating certainly has some bias considering that there are several notable issues with some of the late seasons, particularly the ending of the original series and then the complicated ending of 2021's New Blood. Still, Dexter is one of those franchises that is so engaging to me that I'm willing to overlook obvious retcons and plot holes to have more of Hall playing the role of his lifetime. Dexter will always be up there among my top series of all time and while it should have ended after 5-6 seasons, I'm more than happy to keep the Dexter train rolling.

Loved it every minute . I am a Dexter fan from the first hour and the original sin just nailed it. I am hungry for more , Gibson is just briljant and i think i have a crush on him. 😄

Dexter vastly outstays its welcome, but its initial season are electrifying and but a genuinely flesh slant on the police procedural. John Lithgow is an incredible villain, which is a sentence I never expected to write outside something like Shrek.

The original Dexter series, which I've re-watched multiple times over the years is the most outstanding thriller while intertwining character stories makes it one of Best shows of the 21st century. There is no one better than Michael C Hall, can't wait for Dexter: Resurrection!

I'm in love with Michael C Hall I've been following him since I do a six feet under was as David then Dexter came out and I'm like OMG I watched it every time he was on I got all the DVDs I even got his dolls or action figures now the new series oh my you guys striked it you got it I love how you guys went back into his memories as Dexter for the new series I am so happy thank you
