  • While it is stranger to hear about some of the background of this movie, it does remain and '80s classic. Attempts to capture the same energy, such as in The Last Mimzy, have never quite acheived what ET did.

  • E.T. is an '80s classic for good reason. Even though I wasn't alive to watch it when it was originally released, it is still an enjoyable and fun watch all these decades later, with plenty of humor and action to enjoy.

  • Honestly, don't care for this one as much as I probably should. Have a hard time getting into most Spielberg movies for some reason. Iconic scenes throughout, but find myself struggling to get through when I do watch it. A staple of American cinema though.

Synopsis

Steven Spielberg's 1982 sci-fi classic E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial tells the story of Elliott Taylor (Henry Thomas), who befriends a small alien left stranded on Earth. When government forces come to take the benevolent creature away, Elliott does everything he can to protect his new friend, risking his own safety in the process in order to help E.T. return home.
