The fith flagship game in the series, Far Cry 5 is an open-world first-person shooter created by Ubisoft's Montreal and Toronto-based studios. Set in the United States, the game follows a new deputy who finds themselves trapped in a fictional Montana region known as Hope County as a dangerous cult known as Eden's Gate that believes the end times are nigh and has begun an authoritarian regime to prepare themselves. To stop them, players will explore large mountainous regions and rolling plains as they face off with soldiers, animals, and the elements using whatever weapons and tools they can find.
