As someone who has followed the series from the beginning, I can say this installment delivers everything fans expect. The thrilling sequences, as well as jaw-dropping stunts, kept me hooked from the beginning to the end. Also, the combination of Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson makes it more intense. Although it stretches believability to some extent, the focus on loyalty, family, plus high stakes drama left me both moved and entertained.

The absence of Paul Walker in this one is immediately felt which leaves me wondering why the couldn't have just ended the franchise after the cathartic end of 7. Veers far into absurdity in this one, but pales in comparison to what will come next after. Feels like the series had officially run its course by then.
